Colosimo went to Beechwood, not Highlands. Just because it's a Fort doesn't make it Thomas.

This is why you are permitted to scratch officials at the beginning of the season. I've seen many officials do games when they obviously have a problem with a kid or a school. Actually over heard a highly ranked official say he couldn't stand a certain school! It happens, they are human.

Give us the name of a player who played at all three levels. The Tigers will move freshmen up at the end of the freshman season. I can't remember any freshman playing varsity football at Beechwood from the start of the season.

Maybe you need to go to "The Saddle Club"! I'm sure those guys could give you plenty of names.

Many years ago and I do mean many, a game like this would have meant a lot. Now it's been there, done that for a lot of the old Beechwood Fans. The ones who do not understand or respect the tradition of the program are the ones who don't see what has been going on at Beechwood the last couple years.

Yes I've always been a "bigger" picture kind of guy.

Yes, she is married. She also has children in the school. Beechwood posted an elementary teacher position the other day.

It is posted as a 4th grade position. I don't know how she could ever return to teaching there.

I can tell you this the "whistleblower" was someone already on the "HOTSEAT" at BHS.

It's why you never project based on jr high and frosh results.

Let's face it there is only a few NKY coaches that deal with Walter and I know one of them is Goetz. I guess now we will be hearing about Tigers instead of indians!!! Sullivan at Cooper has a Holmes connection and most of his information comes from fans not coaches. That explains his posting of rumors.

(Hate to say this, as I do enjoy most of your input, but...)

 

Sounds like your in business with your favorite team (Holmes). With Greene as the best freshman (as you said), Bolden as best in the state, and Rod Avery as the most athletic, Holmes shouldn't have much competition. It seems like you only blow up kids you know personally, or kids who come work out for you. If you want to be a legit HS sports/basketball "analyst/reporter" and not just a "blogger"....... There is soooo much more talent out there. I know you follow the Travelers, and I know you work kids out, but get out and watch some of the other talent over the summer. NKY has a lot to offer.

 

That being said, athleticism is great and all, but how hard are these college kids going against young high schoolers (hopefully not to hard as they could get injured)? And secondly, in HS there are still a lot of teams that will zone you up, so his ability to dunk the ball may not be an asset. Can he shoot the ball? Defend the ball? Rebound the ball? Pass the ball (to Bolden)? Because those will be the things that matter come November.

I could be all wrong about this but, a few years back didn't a superintendent go into Campbell County and let go quite a few coaches. Beechwood has a new Super and a new AD. The AD wants to move back to NKAC Div III and both coaches (basketball) were against the move back.

Couple of points to ponder:

 

..The BOE was told that both Coaches were warned...Absolutely, POSITIVELY NOT TRUE!!!

 

..Coach McCarty has a son who is standing in the way of some out of district, tuition students from playing time in football. She does have 5 kids in the school district. She says she is looking for a new home!!

 

..Teaching position is needed for new Boys Basketball Coach. ( I know no Masters)

The article in the paper said she was looking for a new home, not basketball home, HOME.

The PE/Health position was filled for 1 year, that was how it was posted last summer.

So if she could still coach, why did they get rid of her?

She has some good young talent at Beechwood!

Sorry, people hired by the Diocese know the teachings of the Church and the rules set forth going in when hired. If they deviate from that, they have nobody to blame but themselves if they have to resign.

But what if it is a male coach!!!::popcorn::

It's my understanding the diocese has prevented coaches from being hired for not having an annulment before they re-married.

..and I have no reason not to believe you, but I know of 2 coaches that have had children outside of marriage and still were hired at Catholic Schools.

So .....Are they going to let go every Male Coach in the Catholic Schools who have an out of wedlock child. Maybe that needs to be part of the interview process. " Do you are or are you planning on having an out of wedlock child" and while you're at it " What is your stand on abortion"?

The other thread mentioned she did not get her masters in the required timeframe.

She could have still coached! The Masters was not even used as a reason,.

Actually she will have her Masters in time, maybe they need her teaching position for there new Boys Basketball coach!!!

Clyde, I admittedly had to look both these words up. You're English teachers taught you well!

But I guess at the end of the day, our facts (which he doesn't refute), are outweighed by his opinions.

 

Whether you realize it or not ... you are making it look like someone made a good decision.
