If this is accurate this can not make HC happy since they have to play Holmes on their home floor in the first game of the district.
Its accurate and and as far as HC\Holmes all seeding games have not been played yet.

Why wouldn't they host it on their home floor?
Money!

more like a blind draw.I believe if it is a three way tie it goes to a coin toss -
IMO a great JV coach would be one that takes a good to mediocre freshmen team and gives the varsity coach a very good group to work with.
On the others hand a bad JV coach could be one that takes a very good group of freshmen and gives the varsity a mediocre group
You're putting a lot on a coach, good or bad. Now a days, a lot has to do with the off season work a kid puts in, especially between their 8th grade, freshman and sophomore years.

Take it away brother. I don't claim to be the authority on anything, not even football. I just fill in my views and knowledge where I have a view to share.
Question for you - in the past 10 years, how many baseball/football players have played around with basketball? I don't think there have been very many but you probably know better than me.
VOR VOR. Many many times you have tried to come off as the authority on Beechwood sports. Here is what you don't understand, if you are going to play basketball and another one sport you have to put in the off season work. The football players at Beechwood never did this. You can play more than one sport and be successfull but you have to put in the work and respect those who do. So the answer to your ten year question is ALL of them.

1967-68 season opening round win of District play...lost to Holmes in regular season. I was less than a year old.
Holy Cross at Beechwood Sat Feb 13
Danny Goetz and Donnie Robbins would have both been Sophomores. Larry Miller and Stretch Clark, Hub Hood, Hank Eddy and my mind has gone blank!

As long as Beechwood's Football/Baseball players are choosing to concentrate on those sports and not playing around with Basketball the basketball program can be successful. As far as the younger kids staying at Beechwood, you are not dealing with the Beechwood you have always known. Moving out of NKAC Div III has made a huge impact in the improvement of the BB program at Beechwood. As far as BHS basketball History, I got you, something VOR would not understand.

Has Beechwood played HC or CovCath?

Robbins, I thought you were the self anointed Beechwood expert.

This is all not new! Highlands Middle school basketball fans have never behaved. I remember a few years back a father of one of the players saying some very off color thing about a player on an other team. This was during the Dayton Tournament. The coach of the team the boy was playing for asked the Dayton Administration to address it, they did, it stopped. All in all Highlands does not have bad fans in High School but I must admit the middle school is bad.

Newport is not as much of a long shot as in the past, but they are a long shot.

If you took out NCC and Holy Cross it would be competitive. I look for Holy Cross to win, now the 10th this year will be crazy competitive.

Lots of NCC guys ref NCC games! Wasn't the long time assigner an NC guy? Just saying!

You only have 1 upper classman that plays more than school ball and he chooses to play at a low level. Teams don't have much success with rosters like that.

There is only 2 maybe only 1 football players joining the varsity.
Benson and/or Castleman for varsity and a few JV players.

Fred Mariani was working at a golf store up in Eastgate!

I can't help but notice that regular Beechwood posters have nothing to say in this thread. Glad to hear Rash is bringing up the history of Beechwood Football, to those more recent Tigers, that championship drive and toughness is what has been missing the last few years.

There are many reasons why he isn't on his schools freshman team.
Maybe he didn't try out, maybe, he doesn't want to put in the time, he may be pkaying rec league to stay in shape for football etc. Maybe he is a great kid who struggles in the classroom. I could think of many more reasons but I'm sure you get it.

Slusher's brothers are Brandon and Brady. Brandon went to NKU on a baseball scholarship and is now the trainer at Beechwood, at least he was last year. Brady was a walk on at UC football. I'm not sure how that worked out. Both brothers were members of State Champion football teams at Beechwood. Something that is never mentioned is that Kyle Fieger and Slusher are first cousins.

I only have to believe you have never loved a big, loud, sweet and loving Dog. Your opinion would be totally different. You seem more like a cat guy any way.

It doesn't look like Ethan Lloyd has play since the all A St Henry game, those close mouth beechwood fans. He has been a difference maker all year. What's up?
