Campbell County won a 5 quarter contest. Score reset at half. Campbell won first half 38-22. Won next two quarters 41-20.

NKU is becoming increasingly difficult to deal with regarding these type of games.
-
Campbell won both their games. Don’t have scores. Heard they looked good as did Scott.

Props to Zion and family for exposing the transfer rule for what it is...a sham. If he’s allowed to do it I have no issues with the young man for moving where his family thinks he can be most successful. Now, the KHSAA just needs to admit the transfer rule is nearly unenforceable and cave it or enforce it. I am good with either.

Camels were said by some to have no advantage in any position. Ended 2-0 against a talented GRC team. Great game by two really good teams.
-
I disagree on this statement. Jordan Graham is a VERY good PG.
CC PG is pretty good too. Other teams are allowed to have nice players without it being an attack on GRC or no?

You think that Coach Cook is that much better than Coach Russell?
Kind of what I was wondering. Coach Russell has 3 region titles and won big at Newport and Campbell. Coach Cook is a great young coach and has a team capable of making a run but Coach Russell has had a lot of success as well and win or lose they will still both be higher level coaches in my opinion.

Glasgow got the toughest possible draw with Warren Central. What a reward for winning district!
-
Pendleton's most wins since 2006 and he didn't play an overly weak schedule. He did a great job this year and is deserving. I thought it should be him or Russell (kept CC rolling after losing 2 studs from last year).

Final per CCHS Sports Med. Camels are 49-9 last two regular seasons per Camel Basketball Twitter.

Congrats Jared! Several Kentuckians at or going to be at Service Academies:
Fox/Wilson at Army
Kelch at Navy
Coomer at Air Force

Would think it has to sting a little for a school system the size of Campbell County to lose to one of the smallest school systems in the state. They probably have more freshman boys enrolled there than Robertson has boys in their whole school system
I'm sure Campbell County will recover. Robertson County had a lot of guys with varsity experience in that game and I'm assuming a school the size of Campbell did not.
Robertson's future is EXTREMELY bright.

Love when Kentucky kids go to a service academy. Been several last few years.

Rankin with 25. Big win for Ryle!

Coach Stapleton's quote in December could up looking like a prophecy. Fleming starting to play really well. Will be an exciting district tourney!
-
Great effort by the Camels who have also had games where people were feeling ill I’d imagine.
-
Walton won. Walton is a Bryan good team. That’s story of this game. Camels are 17-3, they are fine. They are also a good team. 7 game series it’s probably going 7 and that game is a tossup. Both teams have way bigger games ahead of them anyway.

Put him on any team in any region and he puts up numbers. Being the focus of every team’s defensice scheme and shooting that percentage? It’s not like he is putting up 38 shots a game and shooting at a low percentage. Shoots at a high percentage, is a good teammate, and generally performs. Worthy of respect but we can agree to disagree and that’s fine, just glad I have the numbers to back up my position.
-
Rankin is the focus of the opposing defense every night he steps on the court. He still produces at a very high rate. You can say you aren’t impressed but the stats over the course of a season that he has put up (18 and 8 while being over 50% from the field) with that previous fact in mind is worthy of respect. People lie, numbers don’t. The numbers say that Rankin is one of the top players in the 9th.

Is it never a boring game when these two teams play. Two hard working, competitive programs.
-
Wish the camels played a schedule that would prepare them for the post season tournaments. Schedule does get much harder after Bracken County. Let’s see how they do with Scott, Pendleton, CovCath, and Walton Verona. If they play as a team they should come away with wins.
With 4 district titles in a row, 3 region finals in 4 years, and 2 region titles...whatever the scheduling is it has served them well in the postseason. Will see if that holds true this year.
