Will Brad Cox apply again?

Coach Cox was an assistant at Pendleton but never applied for the head coaching position there.

If you are looking at last decade would be hard to argue that Aric Russell isn’t up on the list. 5 region titles, 6 district titles in a row at Campbell County, state Quarterfinalist, state semifinals this year. Two miracle shots away from possible 6 regions in a row. All with homegrown talent.

Tim Sullivan up the list as well. Steve Simpson at South Oldham. State of Kentucky has a lot of great coaches. People will answer with ones they know from their area for sure.

This game is hard to figure out. I wouldn’t think that Campbell County as played many, if any, teams like John Hardin. I also wouldn’t call Campbell County’s schedule any tougher than John Hardin’s schedule.

 

John Hardin has found ways to win all season. Handling adversity with poise enough to get the win seems to be what they do.

 

Campbell County seems to be playing their best ball at the right time.

This game has all the makings of a classic.

Only common opponent: Scott. They both played Scott twice.

Camels were clicking tonight after the 1st quarter. Great team effort.

Pendleton was without 4 starters. May not have changed the outcome but undoubtedly impacted the game.

6th Grade Camels finish the season out 22-0 in conference. Only losing twice in total this season. Campbell County has some very nice talent coming through the pipeline!

Pretty cleanly played game all things considered I think. Camels only had 10 turnovers and Jags were about there as well. That was one of the more physical games I’ve seen this season. Both teams battled and no backdown from either. Big time win for the Camels on their senior night.

Was he hurt?

Landed hard and aggravated his ankle injury I believe.

Ohmer didn’t play 4th qtr.

He left with about 3:00 to go in the game after free throws I believe.

Is the 5th Region deeper than the 10th region? Would their top 3 generally beat the 10th’s top teams? I’m not real familiar with the 5th. John Hardin is obviously impressive and have heard good things on LaRue County.

Covington Catholic won by 7 over Campbell County.

60-15 after three quarters. JV finished it out.

I wasn’t making a statement on it being a game changer or anything like that. I don’t think it would have impacted the outcome of the game.

Like your thoughts today and as we all know a lot can change over the course of a season. Keep hearing GRC has as much overall talent as anyone in the state. Camels under Russell have developed a perpetual program that may not be deep enough to survive Regionals. After seeing Allen again last night against RC, can't help but anticipate the March show as he tries to carry the Wildcats to Rupp. Going to be an interesting season in the 10th.
