Washington has gotten some good kickoff returns and this next one is no different as they will start their next drive on their own 47. Washington has a bad snap on first down. They fall on the ball but take a 4 yard loss on the play. The second down play is a fullback run by Brien is stopped by the Ads after a gain of 2. 3rd and 12 sees a pass completed to Hart that is just shy of the sticks. As has been a pattern in this game for each team, Washington goes for it on 4th down and inches. A QB sneak resets the chains, moving the ball to the Ads 43.

After a short halftime, Beasley receives the kickoff and takes the ball to the Ads 35. Commanders are flagged before the first play for encroachment. The ensuing 1st and 5 Meaux takes the ball and goes all the way to the end zone. The Commanders thought they had brought Meaux down but his knee never hits the ground and he is able to take it all the way to the house. Garcia misses the extra point kick to the left. Danville quickly gets on the board to take back the lead 20-14 early in the third quarter

Washington attempts a pass over the middle but it falls incomplete on first down. 5 seconds left in the half results in another incomplete pass, which ends up being the last play before halftime. Halftime: Danville 14, Washington County 14

Danville does an onside kick but the Commanders recover it, starting from their own 46.

With 16 seconds left in the first half and facing a 3rd and goal the Ads lineup in the I-formation. Cruver throws a quick slant over the middle to Baker and that is good enough for a touchdown. Garcia makes the extra point kick. Game is now tied 14-14 with 12 seconds left in the first half

32 seconds remain in the first half. Ads will get the ball to start the next half. Cruver's attempted pass to the Meaux over the middle falls incomplete on 1st and goal. There are 24 seconds left. Meaux takes a handoff and takes it inside of the four yard line. Danville calls their second timeout after that.

1:06 to play in the half. Cruver throws deep to Sellers and then Sellers makes some moves to get to the Washington 9 yard line. Sellers added 10 yards after the catch as the Ads are pivoting on offense and it is paying off. Washington burns their last timeout of the half. Washington leading 14-7 but the Ads are inside of the Washington 10

Cruver looks to pass again but decides to keep it and runs for six yards. Danville takes timeout after that. Washington leads 14-7 but the Admirals are in their territory with about 2:00 to go in the first half

There is just 2:15 to go in the first half. Reverse play to Gavin Baker (senior) goes for 7 yards on first down but the Ads are flagged for a hold. Cruver on 1st & 20, throws a deep pass to Sellers to get to the Washington 40.

Admirals will start their second drive of the game on their own 18. Cruver tries a big pass to Jutayvion Beasley (senior) but it is a bit overthrown and Beasley is not able to corral it when stretching out. Meaux takes the ball but only rushes for a yard. Washington is doing a good job containing his explosiveness. Trips formation is what the Ads opt for on a 3 & 9. Cruver rushes but is tackled two yards short of advancing the chains. Even though they are on their own 26, the Ads opt to go for it, probably because the defense cannot stop anyone. Ads line up in an I-formation, hand to Meaux and he barely gets it after running up the middle. Meaux continuing to fight until the whistle resets the chains.

Reverse play to the wide receiver goes for yet another quick first down to the Ads 5. Run was done by Christian Hart (senior).

Radio guys were wrong about tomorrow's game. According to Danville's Facebook page, the game resumes at 10 a.m. Danville Admirals Football24 minutes ago · Our game at Washington County will resume where it left off at 10:00am tomorrow morning! !

The game has been suspended until tomorrow. Start time has not been posted but it will be toward the evening. So I guess I'll post a bit tomorrow if I can!

Delay will go for at least another 30 minutes. Radio guys think this could be a very late game.

Washington takes the kickoff to the 50 yard line after a good return. And the referees declare a lightning delay, so the game won't resume for at least another 30 minutes.

Meaux takes the ball on 1st and goal and gets into the end zone with a run to the otuside. Kicker Juan Garcia (junior) converts the extra point. Danville takes the lead 7-6 with 9:16 to go in the first half.

The drive remains the Meaux show as he rushes for 5 yards. Meaux takes a pitch and the Ads are flagged for holding, so the Ads go back 10 yards. 2nd & 15 from the Ads 30 sees the Ads do another Meaux run, getting to the original line of scrimmage and set up a 3rd & 10. 10:00 to play in the first half. Quarterback Dillon Cruver (sophomore) throws it downfield but Cam Peters (junior) drops it. Danville elects to go for it on 4th down. Cruver drops back and fires to the middle of the field to Trinden Sellers (senior), who makes a big play on his first touch of the game by getting the first down and moving the ball to the Commanders 10.
