Any one know if the Red Fox or Red Squirrel is still open in Cincinnati? Mom would bring them double deckers home from work every Friday.

Yes it is for sure. I must say that those were the days. I want to also add and I'm sure Coffey would love to chime in but he won't that I never lost to the Kentucky Kings. Wait for it.............:lol2:
Ummm I'll chime in first since RC and I played for the Kings. I'm guessing you played for Randolph? Classic battles.
-
And it helped that he was a Kentucky King at one time with Coach Coffey.:thumb:
Wow..... That's going way back... Congrats to Coff-drop and the lady birds. I really love what he is doing with that program. Keep it up RC and ladybirds.

HC tied it up in the bottom of the 10th with 2 outs.

Very evident from the construction site scene last night. All those guys were ready to high tail it out of there and leave the woman who fell. No way our guys are getting soft though; Abraham went right back into kill mode like he was missing a big part of himself!
I think Abraham is a few fries short of a happy meal. When Glen gets back and Abraham finds out his lady has head trama and the one Alexandrian tried to leave them. I think he will freak out.

Awesome year by HC girls and coaching staff. I have to admit the last play I was wondering why the ball wasn't in McClendons hands to begin with then I listen to Coach Murphy explain his last play call and it made perfect sense. That is why he is coaching and I am watching, great call by a very classy coach. Love listening to my old Butlers buddy call the game on HC radio. Congrats HC on an great accomplishment.:thumb:

What did the son say--the one with sticks in his body? What were they saying?
He told Glen that the people didn't abandon them that they abandon the people. I took it as the ones that were exiled went out with them on a supply run and the Alexandrians did the abandoning on a run. Just like they tried to do with Glen which got Noah killed.

]I didn't like the timeout by Mudd with 22 seconds left. I understand wanting to get the defense set up but I didn't like the last timeout being used in that situation. Not the last timeout. Two timeouts left and I love it.[/b]
Congrats to Holy Cross for doing the unthinkable. That's a great moment in Holy Cross history and I know they are planning on making more. Congratulations!!!
Agree 100% on the bolded. Congrats to Holy Cross on the huge win. Very tough to score against HC, even with E-Towns lineup.

SK grad as principal and a SK teacher/head basketball coach as superintendent.
If you can't beat'em...... Join'em

Hope that wasn't her husband next to her because that was a horrible effort to stop the ball by that guy.....I could see this happening to LB someday.

Union college got their 1st win ever in the NAIA national tournament division ll yesterday. Ncc's Michael Bueter plays for them. Congrats Bulldogs! :thumb:

I think if the Cards handle MC's press and show patience on offense then the Cards win. I think GRC's size will be a factor. I'm going with GRC by 3.

But the one time they do get the call correct you're going to argue against it because it was on CC? Refereeing is no "easy" job by any means. Yes they missed tons of calls last night but it went both ways. No need to argue one of the correct calls they made.
Who's arguing? Never once in my posts did I blame the refs. I said we didn't play defense good enough to win. We put ourselves in that position by lack of defense. Some look at that one call but I look at the whole game. Sure your going to say it was the right call as a MC fan. Refereeing an easy job? I never said that either, in fact I heard hundreds of refs in the stands on both sides of the court and I can promise you I wasn't one of them. I was encouraging our team to play thru their mistakes and any other mishap the game brought them. I gave MC credit for the win and even said they deserved it, so don't twist my words around and make a mountain out of a mole hill.

Camels were down 2 with the ball and a chance to tie things up with 45 seconds left in the game and an illegal screen was called. Right or wrong? No clue, but I saw many other illegal screens during the game (from both teams) that weren't called. I didn't like the call but if we didn't give up so many layups and played better defense throughout the game that call don't make a difference. Bottom line is we didn't play good enough defense to win this game. Congrats to Mason County on the win. Both teams could be battling for the next few years being so young. MC with sophomores and CC with freshman. Should be a fun rivalry to watch.
-
Only shot she missed was a last second half court shot.

About the game: I don't think Mason County made one outside shot (they didn't need to). I think all their points, besides free throws were from point blank. They got layup after layup in transition and drives. When MC went to their 1-2-2 zone their length made it tough for us to score. Very balanced scoring for MC. Taylor Clos with a good game for CC. Extremely proud of this Camel team. They grew by leaps and bounds since the beginning of year and I have enjoyed watching this team. I will miss these girls more than some will ever know. Keep your heads up, it just wasn't meant to be tonight. Good luck to MC and GRC in the finals. You both deserve to be there. I had the absolute pleasure of meeting and talking with Gold Sunrise tonight. :thumb:

Travelers will have no trouble driving through downtown or the bypass to get to Campbell Middle School which is the former GRC.
I usually come straight down 27, you saying that way should be fine or should I take 75?
-
I can understand that. If it is pushed back to Saturday, I am sure that it was agreed by all schools to do so.
Goldie, how are the roads down there? I'm trying to decide what time to leave?
-
They did push the girls championship game back to Sunday because of the boys 10th 1st round games being pushed back.
-
Is this game still on for Friday at 6pm?
As of now it's still on for Friday at 6:00. If anything changes I will post something as soon as I hear. :thumb:

I will be attending this game, any other BGPer's going to be there?
I'll be there Goldie! :thumb: I expect this game to be close. I think they both match up well. Should be a great game.

There is alot of conversation about the poor shooting night for CC. According to the stats entered by CC, they shot 67% on 2 point shot attempts (36/54), 10% on 3 point attempts (2/20) and 68% from the FT line (19/28). Yes, they shot poorly from the 3 point line but to assert that they struggled shooting the ball is a little bit of a stretch. You can't score 97 and shoot poorly.
Go to my game summary in Post #1 . I said they shot horrible from the 3 point line but was spectacular in every other aspect of the game. I've seen every Camel game this year and have seen us light it up from 3 more times than not. I'm pretty sure 10% from 3 point land constitutes a horrible night but the difference was the 29+ rebounds that we out rebounded RC by because of the girls boxing out and hitting the boards. Why is that so hard to believe? You made my point by posting the 3 point stats!
-
I hope CC saved some scoring for the next game.
I hope so too but like I said earlier, we really shot the ball bad last night. 2-15 from 3 point land. We did most of our damage on the boards and defense. I was shocked to score 97 as bad as we shot. The girls just really got after it in every other aspect of the game. We will have to shoot much better against Mason. I look for that game to be a barn burner.

Not sure. Haven't been there since new owners took over. Do they still serve breakfast? That was always my favorite.
