Holbrook did have an off night shooting but that has been a rarity. Kid usually lights it up. I was in awe of how fast Darion Burns of Fleming is. Unbelievable speed and quickness.

NCC, HHS, Conner, Beechwood, ect...and I know some schools have good and bad years but CCHS has IMO under preformed for as long as I can remember. They have had some good years and some good teams but year in and year out they have not gotten what they should have out of the athletes in their building! There have been many reasons given by many people including CCHS supporters but none change the fact that they do not win as many games as they should. When a 5A or 6A school is getting beat by some of the teams that CCHS has gotten beat by over the last say 25 years, it is a below average program, again IMO.
By the way the field is incredible. I hope they can live up to their new Palace.
I agree they have been below average for a long time but since coach Lickert has taken the reins I believe he has them on the right path. He has done great things out there. You gotta believe Camel fans!!

No need to ask RCC9 this because this does not happen at Highlands, sorry, go fishing somewhere else.
I ask RC a question and I'm fishing? Not fishing for anything. I've seen it over the last 23 years and it seems to have gotten worse the last 4 years or so. I've seen it and I've heard it! Hell maybe I'm the one that needs counseling because it seems to be accepted today. Sign me up!

Cov Cath is always great to watch.
Do you guys think they have a big effect on games? I always liked playing against teams with good pep sections.
I definitely think they can have an effect on a game especially if they can get into an opposing players head. I've only seen cov caths football student section not their basketball but they were awesome. For the size of New Cath I was amazed at the size of their student section and how crazy they got.

Not sure how it is now but I played juco ball years ago and we had some D-1 schools on our schedule. Scouts were always at our games and 6 players were drafted that I played with in those 2 years and 2 actually made it to the bigs. Competition with D-1 schools was pretty even but I'm going back a few years.

Congrats Taylor and to do it on senior night makes it even more special. Love watching her play as she is always relentless and hustling from opening tip to the final horn.

Me too!!! We could have gotten a 2 for 1 deal maybe! I'd feel sorry for that poor counselor though!
RCC9, I'm curious to how u would handle a parent in the stands from your daughters team that heckled her the entire game, every game? Then after the game made comments to her about how bad she played? From old softball days I'm pretty sure I know how u would respond. Lol

Yelling at kids or coaches....not good
Yelling at refs, no problem with that as long as it doesn't get personal or out of control
for those with problems of saying things to officials need to get over it, the political correctness has gone way overboard the last 20 years as it is, it's part of the game and as an official you would expect some razzing, it's part of the game.
Maybe I'm too old school, I'm one of those who would go to professional football games and blast officials when they screwed up in my mind, and I would also boo players or teams for horrible play. That is professional level, not high school level, high school i will get on officials calls and I think it is part of the game.
I agree with u hellbird. That's what I was trying to say. Questioning referees and coaches comes with the job as long as it don't get personal. To me the kids are off limits. Especially if its not your kid. I love when student cheering sections go back and forth and try to get in a players head and the parents are all into the game. Makes for a better game

Passion, emotion and cheering I'm all for that. Nothing better than a school with school spirit cheering their team on. Don't misunderstand what im saying But when a parent yells obscenities to a player or coach there is no place in high school sports for that. Cheer, dance and holler all u want I love that part of the game. If your ok with a parent getting personal with players or coaches then we'll agree to disagree. I never said sit on your hands and don't cheer.

Good luck to Donovan. Wish I would of had his knowledge my senior year then maybe it wouldn't be so hard getting out of bed in the mornings.

Agree 100% Mustang. Very well said. Makes the school, kids and the program look bad when it happens. If all administrations took that approach it would make the refs, the coaches and the kids jobs so much easier and the rest of the fans could enjoy the game
-
Clyde, I'm saying its the school administrators job to control the parents if they act like idiots in the crowd. If the parents confront a coach during or after a game and get personal and attack the coaches character and the administration allows it to happen then coach has to do something. Can't let the inmates run the asylum. I've seen coaches cut kids at tryouts because their parents are idiots and will flat out kill team chemistry.

Had the pleasure of seeing this young lady play. She can flat out light it up and I love her game. Congrats McKell

Ive seen this year where 2 girls have told a teammates dad to shut up during the game because the 2 girls could do nothing right in his eyes and they were playing more than his daughter. What low life does this? AD should run this clown out of the gym.

Body language sometimes says it all. By coaches and players.

The verbal abuse given to students, coaches, and players seems to be excessive and out of control in most gyms these days. Don't know the solution but it certainly needs to be addressed.
The coach should set the rules from the beginning of the year. If a parent verbally abuses the coaches, then your kid is off the team. Period, regardless of how good they are. If the parents are acting like idiots at the game towards officials or kids then school administrators should ban them from attending. The administrators have to have the coaches back. If I had a choice to watch my son/daughter play a sport or act like an idiot at the games and jeopardize her career or seeing her play, I think I would shut up, sit down and enjoy the game.

Wow. Very surprised by the margin in this one

Congrats to highlands on a nice victory over a very good WV team. Congrats also to Miss. Daley on 1000 points. Great achievement. Good luck to both teams the rest of the way.

I'm sure the NCC girls will come out hungry, so I look for a close and very physical game but I have to give the advantage to ND just because of home court.

Yes she did but she had a mask to protect her nose. Not the same player with that on. I could tell it limited her visability.

Camels get a much needed win over the Raiders. Kaitlin Siegmond (sp?) becomes the all time leading rebounder in camel history. Ryle led most of the game until the camels made a run in the 3rd quarter.

What about parents in the stands getting on other kids of their own team? I have seen and heard this over the years and can't believe it. You can say what u want to your own kid, but when you start calling out other kids on your own team, I think it's a recipe for disaster.

Too funny. I'll be ribbing the announcer for that tomorrow. Do you know if Darion plays football? The kid is put together and with his speed I gotta believe he'd be real tough to bring down.
