It starts and ends with Flair. The best until he got a little older and a wee bit goofy if you will.
The Rock, Piper, Rhodes and jimmy Hart were right there. I know Hart wasn't a wrestler but who cares.
As for the worst, Lex Luger and Rick Martel.

When someone can't take one second to use a turn signal. How hard is it to reach up and flip it?

First time nice seen Raw in probably 2 months and what a great way to return. Found my heartbeat racing some. Best match I've seen in a few years.

That's funny!! When Peyton retires does he replace Lewis, Steve Young or Dilfer on ESPN Monday night? He may make more than all combined.
It would be ironic if Lewis replaces Sapp on NFL network!!

Somewhat true, but the Pistons success was more of a team defense and overall talent thing. He was the straw, but he didn't have to do as much as Magic, Nash, CP3, Stockton, etc. did/do for their teams. That doesn't mean he wasn't just as great as Nash and Paul, or even better, but he played in a much different system.
I just want to get this straight. You're saying Magic didn't play with as much talent as Isaiah? I'll have to let Worthy and Kareem know that.
Now if you're saying Magic was expected to create more than Isaiah, I'll agree but let's not sell him short. he was a great pg. Those Pistons teams were great to watch - love them or hate em.

Did he and Ray Lewis play on the same team at Miami? that's a pair of star athletes that trouble continues to find.
What has Ray Lewis done recently? I ask because I don't know.
-
Exactly. People LOVE Jimmy Carter. Who would have said that in November 1980?
No on then and no one I know now. He has ripped every president since his term except our current president and that tells you a lot. If you look at every picture of all former living presidents you'll see no one stands close to this guy, especially President Clinton.
I honestly know of no one who loves this guy. He may have great intentions and mean well but he's not dealing with reality. Sounds like someone leading our country now.

Never cared for his time in the WWE. It was in the NWA and later WCW that he was at his best. His matches with Flair were awesome as well as battling the Horsemen. Great behind the microphone. Great pitchman.

Ok I'll ask. Who would everyone have as their manager? Who do the Reds hire that is a game changer who will fit the payroll?
I'm not a huge fan of him as a manager, I really detest the seeming lack of detail to base running and their bunting is atrocious. Offensively they are no better or worse than under Dusty but they have three ROOKIES in their starting staff right now. Maybe, just maybe we should look at who constructed the club. The bullpen is horrible and there is no bench to speak of. He's not great but look what he's working with.

No one would pay to watch Frazier play but I get to sit right by third base about 10 games a year and I love watching this guy. Talk about someone who knows it's over in a flash and gets it. He enjoys every second of it and just seems to understand what a privilege it is.
When I sit in those seats, it's worth every penny just to watch and listen to him.

With all due respect to all the other pitchers mentioned on here because they are all very good, Ruwe is not exactly a slouch. I believe he is 10-0 or something like that. Doesn't seem to get much mention or respect.
Highlands has the most depth but that is why they play the games. No one wins on paper.
-
My mama could be 24-6 against that schedule.
Who is your mama? My guess is she hasn't beaten CCH much over last 20 years!!
-
Yea, because that's exactly what that post said. Tell me who your team is, I will say something nice about them so you feel respected.
Don't need my team mentioned, not looking for respect. Just seemed you made Highlands the overwhelming favorite and that Beechwood or anyone else has little chance to win region. I think it's wide open. If it gets to each teams #4 or beyond, then Birds do have big advantage.

Bankemper pitched first game for Tigers, Slusher closed. Rowe started game 2, Nussbaum closed. BW really mixed it up game 2, sat a bunch of kids and played backups at SS, 2b, C, LF and RF.
As for hitting, usual. BW top 3 of Stringer Slusher and Combs really are fun to watch. None of them are absolutely on fire, but you see spurts of why they are what they are. If thy all three start hitting together, will be fun. I think they had 9 or 10 hits combined in this one. Stringer hit a ball game 1 that was as hard as I've seen over LF head in a straight line. Slusher just flipped a ball to wall in RC, and Combs is just a hitter. Ball State coach was there watching Slusher like a hawk. He didn't disappoint. Hamilton looked good for BW too. If they can get a couple more kids hot, they can threaten HHS for 9th.
So should all the other teams just stay home and let them battle it out?

The first 4 albums and a lot of 1984 are just pure rock, so straight ahead kick butt rock. Not mamby pamby rock like a lot of what's out today where the guitar is almost an afterthought.
If all you heard of their latest album was the song tattoo, take a good listen. Dave's singing is so so but the music is right in your face rock, especially the last 6 songs. And Dave is about the story and the journey, will never be anyone's favorite singer.
-
Dave can't sing a lick but if you've never seen them, go. Good chance this is it. Eddie, when sober and he is now, is so damn good. For me it's hendrix, beck and eddie. So different but all 3 are great and innovative.

I'd love to see the original guys back as well but Van Dyke is 83. Don't know how long he'd last on the new series if at all.
Shelley Fabres looks a little worn since Coach Days:

I understand the enormity of a project like this, but compared to other projects it seems to be over priced.
I've been around heavy construction most of my life. I have also saw several times how the same people always seem to own the lions share off the land that needs to be acquired for large projects.
I do not think the bidding is always truely competitive either.
While I have no proof of any of that going on in this project if its not then I would be surprised.
I agree on how some always seem to somehow own land the state plans on taking. Amazing how that happens and how some seem to be so naive to it.
However, I think the days of fixed bidding are way over. Went on for years in this state but hard to do in the age of computers, social media, etc... At least I hope so.
-
Can we have something called an "idiot crime"? And while we're at it, can I be the judge and jury. I'd be awfully busy but am plenty willing!!
-
I figure they are for the entire project.
Road construction is one of the biggest scams in government. It is needed but it is unrealistically expensive for what is provided.
I'm curious as to why you think it's a scam? Do you figure the bids come in and then are marked up? Something to do with "rigging" bids? Land acquisition?
How is it unrealistically expensive? Do you have facts or does it just boggle your mind that something could be that expensive? I'm not trying to provoke, just curious as to your reasoning.
-
For the life of me I can't figure out why this bridge can't get fixed...I also can't figure out why it should cost that much either. A lot of greasing going on IMO.
Traffic studies, epa, corp of engineers, flood plans, designing, engineering, eminent domain, traffic control, politicians. Did I mention the epa and corp?
After that you have the price of concrete, asphalt, steel, labor, equipment, change orders, landscaping, storm runoff, epa- again, etc...
Surprised one can even be built and how in the heck does one even bid something that vast?

Thanks for posting those links CWB. After the game, we stopped in at the Pub in Ft Thomas for a beer and it was silent, absolutely dead silent.
Either you were with me or we saw each other. Remember there being about 10-15 CCH fans and not a word said by anyone from Ft. Thomas. We had a few, headed for saddle. My favorite game of all time.
-
One thing that rarely gets brought up about CCH is their conditioning, especially on a big court. They seem to wear down their opponent and if they are within 8 in 4th quarter they just seem to find a way.
That being said I have no idea who wins this game but until someone beats Colonels they are the team to beat. Good luck to both teams.

" I came here to kick butt and chew bubble gum and I'm all out of bubble gum". Awesome.
He did indeed get picked up by Snuka after wrestling him that very night. I never thought he was a great wrestler but was a great brawler. And he was great on a microphone for sure.
