  1. I need 12 points to win. My flex position is the only slot I have left and its either Carlos Hyde or Charles Johnson. We get half a point per reception so that makes Johnson tempting especially since I think him and Teddy have great chemistry but I think Hyde is The 49er's goaline back and may get a TD. Who do I start tonight? Right now I have Hyde in my line up.

  2. According to MLB.com the Reds now have 5 players in the top 100 prospects. This isn't even considering Cody Reed who I think is every bit as good if not better than Amir Garrett. He's younger than Amir, more accomplished and more polished. I think Cody Reed should definitely be on the list. Also Brandon Finnegan is a top 100 player he just isn't on the list because of his time in the bigs. Alex Blandino and Nick Travieso also has a case for some consideration, they probably are in the top 150. With a top 3 pick in next years draft whoever they pick will probably be on the list.

    #29 . Jesse Winker

    #38 . Robert Stephenson

    #74 . Amir Garrett

    #98 . Tyler Stephenson

    #99 . Keury Mella

  3. Iglesias has an era of 2.33 over his last 46.2 IP. He has given up 23 hits. He has 55 strikeouts and just 13 walks over that time frame. Batters are hitting just around .140 against him. He's been on quite the streak.

His last 3 appearances he has went 7 innings in. Over his last 7 starts he hasn't given up more than 4 hits in an outing. He has given up 4 hits twice and 3 hits the other 5 times.

  4. I'm not sure where you're getting the pitching is so poor (starting pitching that is). Holmberg sucks. He won't be anywhere near the rotation after this season. Iglesias has shown he's got the stuff and potential to be a #2 starter IMO. Disco is a solid #3 or #4 in rotations. Lamb has the makings and the stuff to be in the same boat as Disco. The main thing this team needs is a top of the rotation bonafide ace. I believe, and I think others do as well, that Stephenson is a legit top of the line starter. It may take him a year or two to get into that, but he's got the makeup. When you add Homer back in, if healthy, the roation could come together quite nicely.

    1 - Stephenson

    2 - Bailey

    3 - Iglesias

    4 - DeSclafani

    5 - Lamb

And that's not even taking into consideration the other arms that are getting close in Finnegan, Reed, Travieso, Garrett, Romano, Mella, Crawford, Howard, etc, etc.

I think Mahle has a chance to make some noise in the rotation competition in 2017. If I were ranking the Reds prospects right now I'd have him above Romano, Crawford and Howard. He's making a case to crack the Top 10 of Reds prospects and maybe even some national lists.
