Ronnie was a heck of a guy...great family. They're in our thoughts and prayers

I've never heard them called that before.

Fairview...by 2 scores or more.

Those should be some good match-ups!
Considering the increasing popularity of mid-season tournaments for HS teams, love to see Northern Ky put a decent one together. The best of the 8th, 9th, 10th region ?
Seems like NKy teams always traveling south for those events . . .
Kind of like the Famous Recipe Classic used to be?

It would make much more sense for St. Patrick, Bracken County, and Augusta to vote for seeding. Often the better of these three schools in a given year gets the draw of Mason County and a school with lesser talent makes it to the region. Vote to seed, play each other once during the regular season rotating home/away sites.
I've always felt the same... At least twice recently Bracken County was by far the second best team in the district yet they drew Mason Co. in the district.

According to WLW's Lance McCallister attendance was 40,971. I believe Nippert seats 35,000. A slight need but not much.
Cincy also plays West Virginia at PBS.

The Bearcats keep the Keg of Nails!
I guess Louisville will have to be satisfied with just 1 rivalry trophy...

Ouch...need a win next week against Paris.
-
Looks like Paris and Bracken square off next week with the winner avoiding a date with Beechwood.
-
Ouch... Congrats to Belfry. LC needs to regroup and fast.
-
Congrats to Lewis...I'm shocked.
-
Royals look to be in danger of missing the playoffs for the first time in a long time. Congrats to West Carter.
-
They're pretty close in that regard. The other 4 classes, however, only have 1 or 2 contenders.
-
by far the most competitive and balanced of the classes
-
Honestly, these rhetorical threads get old.Oh goodness this was pretty funny stuff I thought. All three players mentioned are very good!
Some people try and take away all the fun!

I REALLY want to pick Bracken in this one, but I just don't think they have quite enough to beat Frankfort. I say Frankfort by 14.

1995 Thoroughbred Bowl
Leslie Co 44
Highlands 42
If I remember right, Highlands got their revenge in the state semis that year...

Congrats to eminence on the W. Polar Bears will keep plugging away. This has still been by far the best season in school history.
-
Congrats to the Hawks...LC will have to win out and get help if they wanna host a playoff game.
-
I like them... for now. The winner tonight of Eminence (6-0) and Bracken County (5-1) definitely deserves consideration for next week, though.
-
I agree with RP... make seeding mandatory. You have to play every team in your district at least once. I know there are some schools that would prefer to not play their district opponents. I'm not sure what would work best in that situation.

well done Brossart...well done.

This game is on a Thursday night on acount of school being out for fall break on Friday, hope everyone knows this. Are there any other games this Thursday for that reason?
I know the Lawrence Co./Pike Central game is Thursday.
-
Biggest game in school history for Bracken? I say yes... winner of this one probably plays at home in the 1st round. No offense to Paris.
