  1. Put a little more of the history and tradition back into it.....I know this will start a "discussion" and I won't take part in it. WKU was the perfect place for it and when it left, it almost seemed like it turned into just another tournament. I am from Louisville , so save the homer thoughts and responses. Stated my feeling on it and will read anyone else's that cares to chime in.

I guess I do not understand what this vague statement means?

  2. EKU honestly would be the best as far as central location. NKU is too far North, WKU is too far south west, Rupp Arena and the Yum Center are too big, Memorial Coliseum is too small, and I can't see it being in Freedom Hall.

EKU has the perfect sized arena and is a central location.

Memorial is too small? Might want to recheck your facts...

Frankfort Convention Center - 5000+ seating capacity

Johnson Arena @ Morehead- 6500 seating capacity

Diddle Arena @ WKU - 7326 seating capacity

    BB&T @ NKU - 10,000 seating capacity

    Memorial @ UK - 10,000 seating capacity

    Alumni @ EKU – 6500 seating capacity

  3. Hold on now!!! HHS beat them in the 8th grade championship by 20. Without Barth playing. In 6th and 7th, Conner beat HHS in the championship in close games when Conner had all their players in that grade. But HHS never had Barth. She never played a MS game.

Seriously???? Conners top 3 were gone from that 8th grade team and they still made it to the championship! C'mon your better than that.

  4. Okay, several are talking about ND. If you know me, you know I have great respect for ND. But for the life of me, I'm having a brain cramp remembering who returns for them. I also have a few open questions that are keeping me from being as high on them as others are.

    So help me out here:

    - Can someone list their roster? It's not on KHSSA.

    - Is Baugh playing? I know she was 50/50 not too long ago.

    - Who will pick up the scoring with Martin gone? Like her or not, she was a lot of their scoring last year.

    - New coach and philosophy typically takes some time to adjust to and execute correctly. Also to learn the players and the players getting comfortable with their new roles.

    - Is Baugh playing? I know she was 50/50 not too long ago. YES

    - Who will pick up the scoring with Martin gone? Like her or not, she was a lot of their scoring last year. NOT AN ISSUE

    - New coach and philosophy typically takes some time to adjust to and execute correctly. Also to learn the players and the players getting comfortable with their new roles. YOU COULD SAY THIS FOR HALF THE REGION, LOTS OF CHANGES

  5.

    Best sophomore class:

They have two players in the class that have won the KY D1 AAU state championship

every year they have played in it since the 3rd grade.

They have 3 others that that played on a couple of those state championships as well.

They have one that led their team to an AAU D1 national championship a few years ago.

They have dominated (along with Conner) all of NKY middle school ball all 3 years they were there.

They have 6 kids that play or have played at a high level of AAU/summer/EBYL ball in that class.

As far as the rest, I already explained it.

Depth - They return 5 of their 8 starters from last year and add Martin and the class above. (some of which were already getting some time).

Athletic - I have seen most of these kids play against some of the best talent in the country. Trust me, they are athletic!

Strength - You'll find out soon enough, but there won't be a stronger team in the region, including HC. HC may have a couple really strong kids, but holistically, HHS will be stronger team. They are brutal!

weakness - size. They won't be real tall. But that has never hampered this group too much in the past. Also experience. It may take them awhile to be ready for prime time with the addition and youth. But by the time it matters, they will be in the hunt for sure.

And I would disagree with you...Not everyone thinks their team is very athletic, deep and strong.

If they get to start 8 players I would rank them #1!

  6. My guess is that Tucker will have to take that role. Heard Beal transferred to Boone. Can anyone confirm?

McClendon was a huge reason for what they were able to do over the last couple years. She will be missed. You couldn't press or pressure them too much with her at the helm. Now, I'm not so sure that will be the case. I know they have two really nice bigs, but my guess is that teams will turn it into a up and down event with them and I'm not sure they are those type of players. McClendon was able to force teams to play at their pace. I'm not sure what they have left will be able to control it like McClendon did. McClendon was also an absolute destruction on defense. She did a lot of things that made their defense very good. They may be able to plug in some young talent, but I just think they are a year or two away. They will beat teams because they have enough talent, but I also think they will lose games because of the youth. The future is bright there though!

    I heard this as well.

  7. I was at the game as well and stayed until the trophy presentation. I have no dog in this fight and attended because it was the best game on the schedule Friday night in NKY. It certainly lived up to that on the field. Both teams should be proud to have made it that far and to have given the paying fans what they deserved, which was a great football game.

As for the incident that everyone is talking about, I was standing on the fence near the concession stand and did notice the ruckus. Have no clue how it started or who started it. I did see SK fans at the fence yelling at the sidelines and I did notice the sideline engaging them back. I also saw some cups/ debris flying from the stands. Both sides are to blame and showed poor judgment in the matter.

In addition, an SK fan to my right was quick to use the words "win with class" prior to, during, and after the ruckus. All the while screaming out several times to the young men on the field "enjoy your win now, you will get your back side (insert expletive) kicked next week against Male."

  8. The Boone County BOE doesn't care about football or any other sport for that matter. I have a hard time believing someone over there telling 3 different schools where they would play. I know for a fact they didn't tell Boone.

Correct because they are a 6a school, Go ask Trosper at Conner if he made this decision or wanted this! My only point in all of this is make sure you point the blame correctly when calling/ lumping people idiots!
