How did Beechwood do against Boone County?
-
How did Conner do against Dixie?
-
I believe Newport and Beechwood play today. Not sure what time.
How did it go? Any report.
-
At practice the last couple of days and must say the team is looking good! Very high energy..Pass defense looks awesome!
Any 7 on 7s yet? If so, against who and how did it go?
-
So with the changes in the defensive coaching staff, what changes can we expect on the field? I hope they are putting more emphasis on tackling.
The biggest holes left by last year's graduating class were in the Secondary and at Receiver.
How well are those two holes being filled and by who?

I hear you but it has been my experience that when you have a championship team, especially one that was as good as last year's Mayfield team, there usually are a lot more high quality players there than it appears. I have no doubt that Mayfield has some seniors and juniors that are excellent players who played behind a quality senior and can't wait to show what they can do. They wear the favorites crown till we see something that makes people think differently.
Agreed.

I heard he looked very good on Wednesday.
How did he do Thursday?
-
I believe it is Jason Suchanek, sophomore.
How has he done so far?
-
Beechwoods big line will get tested the first game by Derek Mills of SK!
Will Mills test them individually or simultaneously?

HC is set up to have another good year in 2A with alot of returning starters and skill players. Look for Kyle Fuller to have a great year throwing and running as he takes over the HC offense. Paul Lampone and Adam Kozerski will anchor a defense that returns 7 starters. Other teams will also have to watchout for Jaylen Beal, as his speed will make him a dangerous weapon all year.
What grade is the Fuller and Beal going to be in?
Is Beal the feature RB?
What's the size on those two?

Congratulations to Travis and the Elliot family. Well deserved. Best wishes!

Sorry, I like to have my facts straight before I post (others should try it), but I have to correct this one now that I know I was wrong.
He is 6'1 and a half and 208lbs.
That's a big gain in a short period. Is it muscle? If he picked up 23 pounds in the off season, how has it affected his speed and strength?

Petersen remains to be determined.
When will the determination be made? What is anticipated?

And who can afford to go. These camps are cheap price wise, but the travel cost really add up. I'm sure there are a lot of very good athletes out there who would love to attend these events, but to the travel cost don't go.
Travel costs can be reduced if shared by multiple athletes carpooling together. Desire combined with creativity produces ways to make it happen.

I am not trying to be flip here but just pull out last year's program and you will pretty much see the starting lineup for this year. The QB will change. There will be a new starting center and a new starting OT but the replacements are varsity experienced. I don't think there will be any "rookies" starting on this team.
Who is the new center and OT? Any new RBs, TEs or receivers? What about on the defensive side?

If I'm a 6A powerhouse like SK...I would avoid this thread like the plague since it's a 1A team thread
To this guy, ALL threads are SK threads. But agreed. He may just curse the mighty SK into an opening season loss :-)
-
Yes....Crushed Boone. DNP Campbell Co. lost to Ryle in the final 2 min's, lost to SK on a last second come from behind FG.
I believe they also beat Conner.
-
Winkler should have went to UK to but the difference is Cohorn went to a lot of summer camps last year and has got noticed.
It seems like the summer camps really do pay off for the athletes that want to keep playing at the next level. Best wishes Goose.

Nice recognition. We will have to keep watch and follow this young mans development. I'm sure coach Delph will get everything he can out of him.
-
Out of these 10 teams, which 5 do you think Dayton will beat. It sure will not be Holy Cross, Bellevue, Beechwood, and Carroll County.
Good question. Turnarounds typically take some time. Best of luck to the program.
-
Should be a good 1st half. Then HHS dominates.
-
Agreed. Shumate will likely apply but will he be on the CCH short list?
-
Congratulations to Zeke! I hope he makes the most of this great opportunity.
-
Congratulations Patrick. Hard work paid off. Best wishes to you in your future.
