  1. I would go #6 Russellville, #7 Williamsburg, #8 Raceland. Rville is solid, Williamsburg seems pretty good and well Raceland last week answered alot of questions and was over hyped

In the Mayfield/Russellville thread you said this

The Cards will come out of the gate scoring and not take the foot off the pedal until the half. Cards early and often

So if Rville is solid where is Mayfield then?

  2. I am going with Dayton. They seem to be able to play well vs some pretty solid teams. The paddle is a good idea but would like to see something a little nicer for the kids to win. Its a hand painted boat paddle kind of boring. The kids work awful hard all year for this game and always a hard fought game. Two small schools with both cities coming out to support always a fun game to be at. I will be in the stands. Good luck to both teams.

Is it a spanking paddle or a boating paddle?

If #18 for Dayton is playing I would go with Dayton in a close one. He rounds out their offense and makes it so you have to worry about more than just #40.

  3. Just heard the proposed setup of the remaining KY teams may not be final. Some coaches complained to KLA and they will discuss at their meeting on 10/16. 2 divisions still possible.

Tates would not likely be in the Metro league because they would need to have enough teams to form their own district (3), but maybe some other are thinking about it also. TheyAnother issue would be end of season tournament. I would assume the two tournament are happening at the same time. would make it difficult to compete in both tournaments. Any team can however play any team from the metro league they want.

  4. So what happens to the balloon and the capsule?

The capsule separated from the balloon and started to decend. Eventually a parachute opened to slow the decent of the capsule. I saw an image of it coming down and then they closed the video. The said it would still land hard but had a bottom that absorbed the impact.

  5. Thanks voice of reason. Your right we played hard but onviously have was to go. We're moving in the right direction. Our players play with class and no personal fouls. The program is heading in the right direction. Coaches and players all all buying into the team philosphy. I Agree beechwood didn't play there a game but kudos to our kids for taking advatage of the mistakes.

Game changed when #18 went out for Dayton. That kid would have 3-4 Tigers on him and his legs would be pumping and he would carry them another 3 yards.

  6. Good to see Coach Chevalier, Yoko Ono and some of the kids in the house last night! Just kidding about the Yoko Ono comment!!! She seems like a very nice persons and glad to see the future Mrs C has an interest in Beechwood football. I hope Mrs Rash showed her what the view looks like form the athletic building. Would love to get Coach Chevalier back in some capacity when life settles down a bit.

  7. Who both should be Sophomores yes?

What does this mean? Lots of kids are held back depending on their birthday.

Oh good golly! Does a kid or parent really have to see his or their kids name on a message board to feel good after a loss? Please! I ask you, what would the kid do today at school. Walk around the halls saying, we lost but did you see the touchdown I had. Or that tackle I made. My name was on BGP! Lol! If so, then he or parent could care less about the "team". And how do we know the same kid didn't miss an assignment that led to a touchdown for the opposing team. People, grow some skin! It's alright that there is no play by play breakdown of the game. Really it's alright. Some people live for that. Some don't!

I like to read the kids names. Sometimes I know them from other sports or know their parents through friends or work.
