I let my 8th grader skip school today to head down with friends and watch the Breds bring home a win. I'll be heading down tomorrow morning to watch my Birds do the same. Good luck to both teams!

Well, since I have one child who is a Bird and one child who will be a Bred next year, I am definitely rooting for both teams to win!

I do have a question for those of you who have played football. Most of this has been devoted to spectators. What about teams? I know my boys have played against teams that spit, sucker punch, grab during pile ups. I am not talking trash talk, I am talking about physical cheap shots. Is this classless or is it football?

In my opinion, that's classless. Talk all you want but there's no excuse for dirty tricks to try to win the game. If coaches condone that type of play, they aren't very good coaches.

That was like an 8 minute drive down the field at the end. They had very poor clock management into the 2 minute mark and beyond. Even the announcers were saying they needed to move quicker. Having no timeouts really hurt them. Great, great job by the defense to deny JC!

That was a great game. I'm glad I was able to watch it on the internet so thanks to whoever posted that information. I got my $20 worth just for that! I loved listening to the broadcasters too. They did a great job calling the game.
