I guess there's something wrong with me because I don't hate anyone whether they're in sports or every day living.. Hate is a powerful and bad
word.

The high school I taught at ,never once took off for the state tournament. I think that if schools are playing in the state tournament ,then they should turn out school for the day of the game and thats all. Just my opinion.

Louisville gets shafted.
-
I think we've learned to like them a little more in the last two games. They've played great.

There's no class in tattoo's of any kind.

There is no better venue for the 10th region tournament than the Fieldhouse. Tonight's atmosphere was incredible. Try to get what we have somewhere else. Can't happen. We are so blessed in the 10th. MoCo, nice arena, but it'll never be the Fieldhouse.
You're right!

In what I felt was a disappointing season for EKU, that all turned around quickly in Nashville. They had a battle on Friday night that went down to the wire against Murray State and then a short turnaround to take on the Bruins. EKU started red hot nailing 6 threes in the first few minutes of the game which ultimately was the deciding factor. Belmont battled back to tie it a couple of times but EKU has some strong minded folks that can respond under pressure.
Glad to see Belmont go down. Just an annoying program.
The OVC teams were all very inconsistent throughout the whole season. It was hard to tell who was going to beat who. I watched all of Eastern's games . I was there at all the home games and watched the away games on the OVC network. It was just hard to figure out who was the best but Eastern won the games that put them in the big tournament. They got hot at the right time and that's what counts.

Not since the days of Chris Lofton and Preston Knowles, will even throw in Mason Monroe, has there been a player(not a team) that you will gladly pay to see like Bach.
Mason Monroe?

I've seen larger crowds there. I've seen people turned away at the door before.

The funny thing is Hood was never a pure shooter even in HS. He could shoot don't get me wrong. But before his knee surgery Hood was a pretty good athlete and was more a slasher wasn't he?
IN you're opinion ,how many pure shooters does UK have?
-
:dancingpa
Thrilled for them too.
How about that Goldie, That was great.

Congratulations Colonels. Had a good day today, Eastern won, Georgetown (Ky) won and Lewis Co High
School won in the regionals. What a day.

Stats don't lie. Hood has had five years to get his shot above 29%. Is he magically a great shooter now? He went 1 for 3 on Senior Night. One that he took half twisted and from about 25 feet. I don't think he's the savior you are looking for.
Who is?

Hood is the best shooter on the team? Interesting.
Career Three Point Percentage at UK:
Andrew Harrison = 36.1%
Alex Poythress = 35.7%
James Young = 32.8%
Jarrod Polson = 31.1%
Aaron Harrison = 30.6%
Jon Hood = 29%
And before we get into, anything about playing time affecting how good you shoot. The majority of the others shots (at least Young, Twins, Poythress, and a good chunk of Polson's) probably came during the heat of the game when the defense was at its best. Hood's a lot of those shots were in garbage time.
Also before we discuss how much more the others shoot them, meaning they'll have a better feel in the game:
An Harrison = 72 attempts
Poythress = 56 attempts
Hood = 55 attempts
Polson = 45 attempts
Watching them play you would think that none of the above shot over 30%.Thanks for the information--MY BAD.
-
My bad, my eyes seem to deceive me. Maybe he would shoot better if he could stay in long enough to get loose. All the above seem to be burning it up.
-
Jenkins is a nice ballplayer.
-
Go Devils, you can do it.
-
I don't think Hood and Polson were tired when he took them out sr nite. He couldn't wait to get them out to get his 5 star players in. Hood is the best shooter on the UK team but not much of a chance to play.
-
Never can tell., he may play like he did last year in the regionals

Clark Co had that game won but had a breakdown in the final 2 minutes of the game with a couple of bad shots, a turnovers and fouling a three point shot. They played good defense and had great hustle and coach had an excellent game plan but a few mental errors caused them to come away 3 points short. Good game to watch.

He will be a 2 guard in college.
-
hard for me to imagine the first game being close
It won't be.

Doesn't necessarily have to be a D1 or D2 school. Kids who score well in high school think college ball is going to be a cakewalk and go sit on the bench 4 years. College ball is a different game and is getting tougher. I've seen 15 NAIA games and 14 OVC games live this year and in both divisions theres nothing easy.
Just make a wise decision and go somewhere you can play and have fun. Big sounds better but sometimes it's not the best decision.
Is It Fair To Say Duke "Chokes"
in College Basketball

I never did feel that Duke was that strong all year.
