  1. In what I felt was a disappointing season for EKU, that all turned around quickly in Nashville. They had a battle on Friday night that went down to the wire against Murray State and then a short turnaround to take on the Bruins. EKU started red hot nailing 6 threes in the first few minutes of the game which ultimately was the deciding factor. Belmont battled back to tie it a couple of times but EKU has some strong minded folks that can respond under pressure.

    Glad to see Belmont go down. Just an annoying program.

    The OVC teams were all very inconsistent throughout the whole season. It was hard to tell who was going to beat who. I watched all of Eastern's games . I was there at all the home games and watched the away games on the OVC network. It was just hard to figure out who was the best but Eastern won the games that put them in the big tournament. They got hot at the right time and that's what counts.

  2. Hood is the best shooter on the team? Interesting.

    Career Three Point Percentage at UK:

    Andrew Harrison = 36.1%

    Alex Poythress = 35.7%

    James Young = 32.8%

    Jarrod Polson = 31.1%

    Aaron Harrison = 30.6%

    Jon Hood = 29%

    And before we get into, anything about playing time affecting how good you shoot. The majority of the others shots (at least Young, Twins, Poythress, and a good chunk of Polson's) probably came during the heat of the game when the defense was at its best. Hood's a lot of those shots were in garbage time.

    Also before we discuss how much more the others shoot them, meaning they'll have a better feel in the game:

    An Harrison = 72 attempts

    Poythress = 56 attempts

    Hood = 55 attempts

    Polson = 45 attempts

    Watching them play you would think that none of the above shot over 30%.Thanks for the information--MY BAD.

  3. Doesn't necessarily have to be a D1 or D2 school. Kids who score well in high school think college ball is going to be a cakewalk and go sit on the bench 4 years. College ball is a different game and is getting tougher. I've seen 15 NAIA games and 14 OVC games live this year and in both divisions theres nothing easy.

    Just make a wise decision and go somewhere you can play and have fun. Big sounds better but sometimes it's not the best decision.
