I'm gonna try a 10th but won't get it right so please feel free to add to or take away.

That's just scratching the surface of all the greats that have played in the 10th like I said I've probally overlooked some one that's more deserving and I applogize in advance.

Ronnie Lyons , no way he could be left out.

I would add Kirk Ruggles to my list from Tollesboro.

where's it being played?

Ruggles and Fite were very, very good from what I have heard. They are both great coaches for the girls basketball team at LCHS as well. :thumb:

Ruggles and Fite were both very tough and very competitive. Jack Applegate would be my number 2 pick for Tollesboro but didn't play much because of bad knees and had several operations. He was as tough as they came.

Shunway passed away about a month ago and Howard died years ago. Shunway played in the early 50"s .

Osborne could play a little but he was too much of a hot dog to suit me.

I've watched Tollesboro from the late 40's until they closed. My pick would be Chris Harrison , Al Bane, Marty Voiers, Bob Bane and Mike Thoroughman and Dewy Bryant.

For Lewis Co , Jim Bloomfield, Harold Billman, Eddie Scott, Ralph Davis and Tracy Shunway and Johnny Lykins.

Just my opinion.

Big Bopper was right on with his selection on Lewis Co.

Guys, if you played basketball then you would have to understand how hard it is to get up for games like this. I hated playing teams I knew we were much better than.Kentucky will be ready and energized for Carolina!

Bret Ruckel from Lewis Co should have been on the Sr try out list.

I know Gtown tried that 2/3 years ago and it did*nt happen,,,is it for sure a go this time?

I was wrong, they will play in the Mid South Conference again next year and the next year will play in Division 3 NCAA. They will play each other next year.

Congrats to Shawn. Could probably run track for C'ville as well, but I don't know how possible that is at the college level.

 

Hopefully I'll catch a C'ville-Georgetown game or two.

Georgetown may not play Campbellsville next year. They are moving to NCAA division 3 and will be in a different conference and play teams of that conference. I'm sure there's reasons why they made that move but don't know what they are. I really lIKe the KIAC.

I think he will do well down there. He really needs to work hard this summer and work with weights and get stronger. He'll be ok.
