  1. Based on? I mean right now are the favorites to win the state title? Or course not. However as #5 said what are people basing things on when they say Ludlow just is bad this year, because I have seen it a few times. I mean they played a game against Taylor, OH that was still very much in doubt to the final minute. Taylor would be a 4A school in KY, and would beat most of the 1A teams in the state of KY. So its not really like that was a bad lost. Then Carroll Co. is 5 and 0 and that game was still in doubt to the final minute as well. That game was a play or two away from having a different outcome. So yeah Ludlow is 2 and 2 but the games they lost were to teams that were not that bad, and were better competition than any team Brossart has played so far. Ludlow could have very easily have won those games to and been 4 and 0. So yeah while Ludlow is not a favorite to win the state title, they are not a just bad team like you said.

Also honestly it does not make much sense to say that about Ludlow, because if Ludlow wins then what is that saying about Brossart?:sssh:

I based my statement on the fact that I've seen them play. I'm not saying that BB is any better than Ludlow. I know BB has played some really weak competition, but I understand that on their part. They are trying to start a program and build interest in it. I actually think Ludlow will have a close game, really it's a toss up who wins.

  2. I think I could have done fairly well this past weekend if not for the 15-20 boats on the lake fishing. I had birds fly by my spread all morning until I finally packed up and went home. I had a guy bring his boat 20 yards from my spread, talk to me, and then start fishing right by where I was at. I wasn't too happy about that one. I should have unloaded a couple of my 3 1/2's into the air to see how he liked that. Oh well, it was still a good weekend...I ended up using it as a training day for my dog.

  3. I'm going with Newport in this battle of the "Wildcats" - I just don't see Newport dropping two in a row. Newport has the talent and will come to play. PC has made great improvement and will have a good season but I beleive they will fall short in this one.

    Newport 35

    PC 12

It would be hard for PC to have a "good" season in they can't beat Newport.

  4. We use a 17' boat all year. It's fine you just have to careful. Mainly hunt the river in various areas and sometimes Brookville lake in Indiana. What days can you hunt? Are you a weekend hunter?

Yeah. I'm a teacher, so weekends and holidays. I'm going to Ohio this weekend for early goose and teal.

  5. Cool I hunt Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana. The whole family gets involved. We hunt atleast 2 days a week. Not always me because I'm in class and other things, but dad and grandpa always get out. We know several reliable spots in all 3 states!

I don't hunt the early season too much. We're not a major enough flyway in this area. Come the winter I'll be out there. Especially if it's good and cold and those ducks are moving on in.

Being new and not knowing a whole lot about the sport yet, I don't really have all that many reliable spots. My hunting partner, which is the guy that really got me into the sport, just moved back to Danville to get married, so I'm really not sure how this season is going to go for me. My best spot is a public lake in Southern Ohio. I'll probably go up there this weekend to hunt teal and geese. I've killed a couple of geese in the early season up there. I hunted the flooded Ohio River one time with a couple of guys but that scared the crap out me in that 16 ft. boat.

  6. I'm fairly new to the sport of waterfowling. This will be my 3rd year. I've been addicted since that first flock flew in. I've always been a big deer hunter and always looked forward to deer season to come around, but now I can't wait for September to come around for early woodies, teals, and geese. I hunt in Ohio and Kentucky. Like I said, I'm 100% addicted.

  7. This is a must win game for the Polar Bear football program this season or they could possibly face a 4th winless season in a row. Their next 3 games are actually their best chances at winning a game or two this season with 3 teams that are at least close to their level this season,(BB, Ludlow, Pendleton County). Where is this game being played at and why the 12 start time?

Pendleton is not on the same level with Bracken County...really not even close.
