  1. It is posted on another thread that he is. Now what Bellevue needs to do is:

    1. Hire a coach

    2. Ignore the complaints of certain parents/boosters no matter if their kid plays or not.

    3. Let the coach run his program but support the coaches decisions (school administration).

    4. Quit having administrators talk kids into playing football and then they end up not playing basketball to lift for football.

    5. Actually have a summer program where kids can attend and not feel like they are in trouble with football.

    6. Get Coach Sanders back involved as an assistant coach.

    7. Make a commitment to the program and to the new head coach.

  2. Dave Slater is a long time assistant coach freshman coach and middle school basketball coach in the Bellevue system. He also has been an assistant track coach. He is a Bellevue guy through and through and would do the job for years to come. Just does not have a lot of varsity experience.

Eddie Nelson used to be the 8th grade boys coach and was let go several years ago for having zero basketball knowledge. He is always wanting to move up.

  3. Before we talk about who gets the job let me say Gary Forrest is a 100% class act combined with great coaching knowledge. He was a credit to the coaching community and always was willing to sit down with younger coaches and talk basketball. I have known him since the 80's and spent many hours with him at Transy. working in the hot summer gyms.

    Good luck Coach Forrest!

  4. I may not know who JBCousins is but he is 100% on the button and it is pretty common knowledge what is going on in Bellevue. And as far as parents complaining too much? That carries a lot of weight in our community.......more so than it should. But unfortunately we have administrators who listen to the same people over and over again and they know they can influence decisions made.

  5. This is tough because lets face it we all would enjoy looking at her nude photos....but at the same time most coaches and teachers have a moral terpitude clause in the contract they sign. While I certainly support her right to appear nude you cannot blame the school for firing her. They can not win in that situation. Also I do agree that the mom and dad only brought this up when the daughter was booted off the squad.

I guess the dad was glad the guy did not ask if he enjoyed looking at the pictures before they turned her in.
