  1. Boy when it rains it pours. Again the administrative support is horrible and quite frankly this program has been doomed for the last several years. Keep in mind when this program was started it was started by northern kentucky guys who knew what they were doing. In fact in year one of varsity I believe Bracken won 3 games......but since the county has gone to as many local administrators as they can the program has fallen off the table. Does not matter who takes over.........this is a dead program.

  2. Okay there have been many lopsided scores this year posted on BGP. I am trying to think about some of the worst scores I have ever seen.......Is thsi becoming more of a trend?

I remember a district tourney game in the late 90's that Silver Grove lost 40 something to 2 against Brossart. And you know what? Brossart did everything short of getting out on purpose to keep the score down.

Any thoughts or memories on this issue????????

  3. RuSerious wow well............you have hit the nail on the head in several areas. If they would have kept the leadership they had in the early 2000's they would have continued to bring in better coaches which in turn tends to bring in better players. But the county has what they want. Home grown central office employees who have blinders on and a continuous merry go round in the football and basketball programs. Besides if they would have kept the superintendent prior to this he has a bunch of young athletes who are dominating there respective leagues in basketball and baseball. :ylsuper: You can't run off the guys with the athletes as kids!!!!!! :D

  4. Part of this also is (I believe) the immediate Coming of Coach Cal and the time spent trying to figure out how to open up scholarships by people on here as well as others. I mean it would be better if a player leaves (on his own accord and for reasons that he does not fit in the new system and chooses to go) and then scholarships open up. In this scenario what is being promoted is get a guy to commit then figure out who has to give up a scholly for him to get in. That is wrong.

  5. Listen the "everybody else is doing it" philopsophy I try to "uninstill" with my teenage kids so I really hate that argument. Yes it is a business however I also tried to make it clear I do not condone that part of the business. The fact that posters try to justify this with the everybody does it and look at this example still does not make it right. There are schools that rise above this and there are schools that justify this. I do not like it and will continue to rail against it.

  6. Look I know the die hard UK fan will not look at this objectively :irked: which is what I am trying to do. I think IF the wholesale changes come (and by that I mean 3 or 4 players leave to open up scholarships........it gives the university a perception issue. I want UK to win but I also do not like how some of this is being done. And several posters have commented on having the "just get rid of them attitude" so we can bring in better players and agree with this strategy. I do not agree with doing this and quite frankly have issues with coaches that try to take players from a place they recruited them to a new place. But again its an opinion.

  7. Transfers happen......Players being forced and persuaded out is a different story. And not being asked to leave due to academic and/or personal issues. Rather just because they are not good enough when they were good enough the prior year. Spin it any way you want it still boils down to a bad perception.

  8. Things such as handling these kids "quiet but stern" does not show that the kids interest is at heart. Now lets look at this from the flip side. The coach who takes the job knows the roster. If you look at the last several major coaching changes at major universities you do not see turnover of 3-4 players. I am looking at rosters from North Carolina, UCLA, and Ohio St. when they had there most recent changes.

  9. Dude for someone who professes to know so much about the goings on at Bellevue anytime anything is brought up that might be negative you try to act like it did not happen. I know parents and players who have been brought into the principal's office to talk them into football. Nobody is called in to try to play basketball.

Yes he did resign. I think they need to get him back involved if that is ok with you? Or is that opinion not allowed?

Now since you only bolded two does that mean you agree with the other points?
