  1. How silly. Why is this world wouldn't Elliott let Ashland press their subs and make the game look closer? What is wrong with Coach Mays for not allowing this? How dare them shooting threes when they were up several. They should have held the ball until a possible turnover, so Ashland could have cut the lead a little more. What a joke, the dogs were called off and Ashland kept pressing. Bottom line. If Ashland hadn't started pressing, Ethan wouldn't have came back in the game. The second 5 doesn't have a strong ball handler since Cody Nickel is out. There may have well been double digit turnovers in a row if Coach Mays hadn't had some stronger ball handlers on the court. The right thing was done in this game. Quit crying.
  2. Ethan Faulkner is the best point guard in the tournament. He's a leader, he scores, he rebounds, he sets up his team, he just does it all. I mean a triple-double average in the regional tournament is no small accomplishment, no matter who you're are playing.
  3. This is right, no matter who agrees. The truth is the truth.
  4. No disrespect to this comment, but a 2 year old could have probably have made such a comment. It's easy to say that someone could have coached this team to this year's championship, but why do you think these boys are this good? Because of the team's hard work? NO DOUBT. Because of the assistant coaches hard work? YES Because the parents of the players have gave so much of their time? ABOSUTELY! Coach Mays was the person that has done the most work, so don't try to discredit him. There are a lot of people that deserve credit in Elliott's success, but there is one person that has been here for 28 years building this program to success. You figure out who it is.
  5. I would hope a 21-0 record against 16th region teams, would make Coach Mays the front runner for the coach of the year. No disrespect to Coach Hampton(he evidently did an excellent job this year), but I'm just saying, an unbeaten record against any other team in the region, would seem to say something.
  6. So they wanted to schedule Elliott on a Sunday?? Makes perfect sense, there are a lot of games scheduled on Sunday. WOW!!! Did you honestly think that even sounded correct??:idunno:
