  1. If its true, then outstanding work by him. I thinks it great thing Meyers got the opportunity soon enough to fill-in and he did it splendidly.

You would have to had thought that a shooter like the one in the clip below would have had a shot too. Hopefully Meyers will do it it again tomorrow. Congrats!

That's cool! The game is tonight isn't it?

  2. I would guess that pitching depth will be the biggest problem they have to overcome, but I absolutely applaud Coach Sanders for putting together a schedule like he has this year. A schedule like this will only make his team better and better as they become used to competition like this on a day in-day out basis.

Competition will make them better but it won't make their pitching any better which we'll agree is a problem.

  3. Boone is looking very solid. Their SS I believe is Carroll has appeared out of no where. He can flat out play! Saw him against Highlands and NCC and he was splendid.

I don't do stats but Boone was up 5-1 and Bellevue made a run. Bellevue is an ok team and it's early in the season I know but not sure if the can play day in and day out with these bigger schools. They do work hard.

  4. don't have stats but Brake had a 3 run HR for Conner and for NCC Connor continued his hot hitting going 2-3. NCC is struggling behind the plate as Conner ran with ease and scored 2 runs on a bad throw trying to pick a runner off 3rd.

Conner hit well as a team tonight and will a tough team to beat this year. NCC seems to have a solid team but just wasn't there tonight

  5. I mentioned in a different thread that someone said Connor didn't look real sharp on the mound. This from Mr. Skinner's article on nky.com

Connor said he didn't locate his pitches the way he wanted.

"My fastball felt real flat and my curveball wasn't working, but I threw strikes and the defense made some plays for me," said Connor.

Connor said he didn't locate his pitches the way he wanted.

looks like there was some hitting going on!!!!
