I'll be cheering for NCC but I think Holmes has too many guns to stop.
But than again--That's why the play the games!

Looks like we now know 3 of the 4 in the 10th region freshman tournament. Mason, Clark, and Bishop Brossart. Anyone know how the 38th is coming along?
Any word on where or who will host the 10th Frosh regional?:idunno:

This was one of the best games, Freshman, JV or varisty, that I have seen in years. Great Athletes on both teams. there will be some battles over the next few years !!!
Congrats to both teams on great seasons. Best wishes to Bishop Brossart in the 10th region tourney!

Noticed this same behavior at the All A finals. He did this once during a timeout during the second quarter run NCC went on. At first I thought this was the worst kind of sportsmanship I had ever seen. He then did it after the game, again same thoughts, poor sportsmanship. But during the postgame hand shakes he was hugging and congratulating each Newport player. He showed a genuine act of respect for Newports tough loss. That was a sign of a true great ambassador for not only the sport, but also the 'Breds as well. Good luck Coach Pangallo, may your enthusiasm keep you young forever.
I was not able to attend the BBHS/NCC game but I've known coach Pangallo for years. He is a class act. He shows his class during the game as well as after the games. I'm not doubting he was excited for his boys. As a NC grad, I did not send my children to NCC and he was supportive of my decision. I actually just ran into him yesterday and he was asking about my children and wishing them the best of luck!

37th district was delayed due to snow. Finals are to be played at BBHS Tuesday evening @ 5:30. Brossart vs. Camp. Co. Brossart over Scott in the first round 58-33. Early match up of BBHS and CCHS frosh was 40-25 in favor of the Camels.
I think the finals at to be played by the 38th district winners home court? Not sure of date at this time.

Is it the same Barleycorn's that they have in Chicago? One of my all time favorite nights out started at that place!
This is a family owned business out of Northern Ky. The wings are the biggest and best in town. Prices are not cheap, food is good bar food. Not fine dining.

I believe Conner made it to the elite 8 last year. Gray has beaten Conner twice this year. Walton has beaten both teams. Walton has better guards but limited post and Conner/Gray has more skilled post with lesser guard play. It will all depend on what draw each of the 3 teams receives. Stay away from Johnson County/LTMS/Crosby and we might see on of those 3 in the elite 8.
Walton is the best out of Northern Ky. I've seen all 3 play and they are best in that part of the state.

Don't know.
They currently do not have a dance floor. That will be part of the remodeling from what I read. The building is old and has been transformed several times over the past few years. Looking forward to how it turns out.

It sounds like he has a good concept though. And it may be that they end up becoming more focused in their demographic. Even though that location has been something of a curse, I think it has a reasonably good chance of succeeding.
I hope so. I live in LA (lower Alexandria) I'd love options for entertainment and a cold beer. I personally know the Jewel King and will try to frequent his place as much as possible.

That's a question better left for the parents who choose to pull their kids out of the school environment (and the commensurate extracurricular activities that go with it), don't you?
I chose to send my kids to a private school, I pay taxes. My children do not have the opportunity to use the facilites that I pay for. It is my choice!
Same for home schoolers, the parents have chosen not to go to the public schools. It is a choice!. They decided that education is more important. That is why we have schools. Sports are only a bonus.

The white death already cancelled the frosh BBHS and Walton game.

best wishes to Steve Chuke, but it will be a tough road to hoe. Many of the past failures in that building were due to lack of figuring out who the customer is. I think it will be a struggle tyring to cater to groups from 21-60. people need to have a place they feel comfortable with every day.
heard the property did not come cheap, drain the lake and develop the property may help.

Best wishes to the Heils and their new location!
Good food, cold beer, kid friendly.
Worth the visit. bet you a beer the bartender/waitress will know your name after a couple of visits.

AJ Smith was the MVP of this game IMO. Everybody has been saying he isn't much of a factor but I think he played the best out of anybody on the floor IMO. are there any stats for this game?
Didn't the smith boy sit out of hoops for a year or two to focus on baseball?

What are the dates for the middle school and AAU tourneys at KBA?
Feb 6th-7th and 8th.
-
I believe Walton Verona's 6th and 7th are.
St Mary's 7th graders in alexandria are going down tothe state tourney.
-
Camels Purple swept Sharp @ Sharp last night 6, 7 and 8. The officials were less than desirable for the Camel faithful.
So that brings up an interesting question. What middle school is the toughest environment (crowd, officials, noise) to get the win????
By far the toughest grade school tourney as far as crowd, noise etc. is the St. Joseph Bluejay classic. they have a nice sized grade school gym that they pack every night.

Poorly organized, haven't sent a team there in a year.
