Per James Weber, "Now there's a discussion on moving all these games to Holmes."
I saw where only the CovCath/Saint Henry game will be at Holmes, the other three will be at the District Champs home gym.

Final from Latonia.

This is absurd! That’s all I got...

Do reporters fact check anymore?
Listerman quote:
"(CovCath) is super good. Nobody in the region has been within 20 points of them," Listerman said.
Really coach?
1/10/20 Newport 68 - 56
2/28/20 Beechwood 63 - 52
Also 2/25/20 Holy Cross 79-63

If CCH wins, they will be the first team since CCH 2004 to run the table in the 9th.

Now that we have the 8 teams set for the 9th Region tournament, I noticed that it is the same 8 teams that made it last year!
Conner
Cooper
Dixie
St. Henry
Beechwood
Covington Catholic
Newport
Highlands
I wondered if it had ever happened before and looked back all the way to 1937 and have never seen the exact same 8 teams in consecutive seasons!
Thought that was a fun fact to share with everyone!

I don’t like 3 team districts.
Totally agree, there are enough teams in the state to have 64 Districts with at least 4 teams. Getting a bye to Regionals is NUTS. There needs to be a complete reset like in the 05-06 season as far as Redistricting to make sure no more 3 team Districts.

When was the last time that NCC did not make the regional tournament?
Last year...
-
Yes Dixie can win and I wouldn’t consider it an upset..

Anyone have stats?

The Roughnecks logo looks just like the old Oilers logo. I wonder if that was done on purpose?

I believe it should always be held at Holmes. You can even do it to where the "host school" can run concessions. It doesn't do Beechwoood, Holy Cross, nor Cov Cath any good to host this at their school.
Why should Holmes always get home court advantage? I think with the close proximity of the 9th Region as a whole, we should use the 4 biggest gyms as neutral floors for each District. For example, the 35th would be at Conner every year with each school rotating host. The 33rd could be at Holmes every year etc.
-
Our Athletic Director indicated that tickets would be provided to each school at $5 each, no passes accepted. Whatever is not sold by the schools will be available at the door.
Ok thanks!
-
Will they be selling tickets pre sale like they did last time Beechwood hosted?

With a closer look I believe that the 3 way tie happened in the 2016/2017 season with Holmes having to play CovCath in the district game. I can't see that it has happened any other time in recent years like I had originally thought.
It does seem that in recent years Holmes has been more than not facing CovCath in the first game of the districts. It's still to be seen if they repeat this trend yet again this season.
There was also a 3 way tie in 2015-2016. It was a 3 way tie for the #1 seed.
-
I think it’s been a very, very long time since CovCath lost a JV game to a Norhern Kentucky team. Am I correct about that? I think Newport Catholic beat them in 2016 was the last time perhaps.
Holy Cross beat them just last year at CCH.

I have been going to the Sweet 16 every year since 2000. I think seeding the Sweet 16 would be the wrong move in my opinion. There would really be no right way to do it and teams in some Regions would get a worse seed just by being in their respective Region. The Sweet 16 is obviously not the top 16 teams in the State and that is what makes it so special.
I also don’t like how the First Round is gerrymandered now, the teams should play where they draw.
The only change that I do like is having the Semifinals on Saturday night with a Sunday Final. Sure there are some years I don’t stay for the Finals, but it is much better for the players, and as a fan the old 10 am Saturday games weren’t too fun to get up for.

4- Tennessee
3- Green Bay

I have always wondered when the Oilers left Houston; did most fans stick with the Titans or switch to the Texans? Crazy to think they could meet in AFC Championship.

I haven’t watched Survivor since about 2005 and saw it on the other night and gave it another shot. I actually enjoyed it and will probably start watching again regularly. My wife also watched with me and had never watched it before and she enjoyed it as well.
