It is sad that someone lost this one. I do feel good for the kid that is the Mayfield kicker. He was the same one the announcers said missed an extra point last year when Beechwood defeated Mayfield 14-13 in the state championship game.

Final a heck of a game. There will be a new champ in 2A for the first time in 4 years.

The way Mayfield's kicker looked on that last kick they are going to have to score or get it a lot closer.

The Mayfield announcers went nuts on that penalty. Then on the next play that Beechwood blew up they said "What in the World was that play". lol

The current #10 ranked Hurricanes of Miami (5-0) come to Rupp to take on the current #16 ranked Cats of Kentucky (5-1). This game is part of the ACC/SEC Challenge presented by Continental Tire. The game is on ESPN and thank goodness it is a 7:30 tip. Go Cats!

A heck of game between two good teams. Both teams defenses were great tonight it is sad someone had to lose. A tough loss for the Broncos who probably had over 150+ more total yards than the Shamrocks but two big turnovers in the redzone and a procedure that called back a touchdown before the half did the Broncos in tonight. Frederick Douglass had a great year in 6A and will be heard from in the years to come. They return all of their skilled positions on offense. They will need to have kids to step up and replace their two power 5 D1 cornerbacks.

A big play in this one Ballard had a touchdown called back right before the half that would have put them up 21-3. Congrats to Station who kept battling the entire game to come back and get the win.

Final. A big come from behind win for the Defenders tonight and they will take on Trinity in a rematch from the first game of the season next Saturday for the 6A title.

Congratulations to Trinity! it was a heck of game between two great defenses. Best of luck next Saturday at Kroger Field!

That is amazing that Trinity only had 1 first down the entire 2nd half and are still playing in OT the defense has stepped up big for both teams tonight.

A lot of class by the players on both teams it has been very clean no pushing shoving or chirping from either team. It is been fun to watch tough for either team to lose this one.
