  1. 2:30 am now, as well as all alcohol sales lasting until then. I can only speak to each while I was there, and the sports scene was a big part of Lexington for me (as it'd probably be for most of us who talk sports on BGP).

Wasn't trying to bash NKU, just saying I didn't really enjoy my time there and get accused of lying about it.

Should have just kept to myself, as one of the two cardinal rules of BGP are: 1.) you can't say anything negative about a UK player, and 2.) you can't say anything negative about the Northern Kentucky area.

I'm pretty sure you said your classes were a joke and easy. No need to back track on it now. I know a bunch of people who graduated from UK and my NKU diploma holds up really well against their diploma, actually better in most cases. Of course NKU doesn't have the campus life of a University twice it's size but it is and probably always will be a commuter university. If you would have done your due diligence you'd have known that before your dissappointing experience.

  3. Back in my residential construction days I was the superintendent in charge of a new subdivision being built in Cold Spring (Campbell County) called Granite Springs. I built the first 20-ish houses in the subdivision before moving on to a new job. Anyway, when they were developing the land for roads, they apparently uncovered a large den of copperheads and the "residents" were put out of their home. I had probably one a week that I'd end up having to catch/kill/shoe off for the first few months I was building there.

That is really eye opening to me. My family has property on Dry Creek that backs up to that subdivision. I spent my childhood playing in the creek and all over the woods. I've seen plenty of garter snakes and black snakes but never a copper head. Very glad about that fact!

  4. That's just not true, with all due respect.

I simply disagree, IMO he only had 1 or 2 good years as a tackle and I think he's always been a better guard. Don't get me wrong he's a great lineman and a tremendous run blocker, I've always thought he was a touch slow to effectively protect the edge. He's one of my favorite Bengals ever so I hate to point out things that are negative.

  5. I thought he was acting a little childish on Twitter, retweeting a bunch of dumb fan tweets as the first two rounds played out. He's been a great Bengal and I hope he resigns and moves to guard for a couple of years to end his career. He will not be worth a huge contract and really isn't all that effective at Tackle anymore anyway. Him being this upset is really suprising for a guy that has been around the league as long as him, especially as good as a leader as he has been.

  6. I prefer low profile hats with a big curve on the bill. I only wear a hat backwards if I am doing something to where the bill is obstructing my view. Flat Bills must be a generational thing. I really don't get it but will chalk it up to a younger crowd thing and I'm not that old IMO. When I see a cat my age or older in a flat bill, all I can do is SMH.

  7. A long time ago, there was a Bonanzas at the current location of Rio Grande Newport. Way, way back around 1987 there was a fast food Mexican restaurant called Santigos in the current Newport Taco Bell Location. Santigos was great as well.

After Bonanza there was a sports bar in the location called Divots. My family and I effectionately refer to Rio Grande as Mexican Divots.

  8. As a student at NKU, I spent many Saturday nights in Keene Hall at EKU visiting friends that where attending EKU. I wasn't looking for a fight or trouble. Sometimes you just go visit your friends from high school and stay in their dorms. I don't see anything nefarious about the kid being at an EKU dorm that night. If they'd have been drinking in Lexington, then he made the trip to Richmond it may be different.

  9. I'm guessing everyone, on both sides, just wants the whole thing to go away.

Right, I'm sure it was a deal of if you don't press charges against our boy(s) we won't press them against your boy(s). I've never been in a bar fight but I guess this type of deal is really common for these types of incidents. The only thing keeping this thread alive is axe grinding. The only thing I know for sure after reading through this is that several players from EKU and UK made several dumb and possibly criminal decisions that night. They should all be lucky that it ended so cleanly.
