  1. The IRS structuring rules are absurd also. They can seize all your assets if you make multiple legal deposits under $10k. If you make a few $9900 deposits, the IRS can charge you for trying to avoid the paperwork. Many, many cases where they seized businesses because of this.

That is not an IRS rule that is Federal law and it will not be the IRS but a Federal prosecutor charging you with a violation of said law. So if you are structuring to avoid paperwork, they are not "legal" deposits, they are violations of 31 U.S. Code § 5324.

  2. Finally got a chance to watch it last night. I enjoyed it. Didn't like it as well as the first one, but enjoyed it nonetheless.

I saw it on Saturday AM and I'd be in this camp. Good...but didn't like it as much as the first one. Contrary to an opinion above, I did think it seemed a little long, at least while in the theater. I felt like the first third of the movie drug a little bit.

I agree with the two of you. It was pretty good, not as good as the first but held its own for the genre. The Iron Man movies still get the nod from me for being the best.

  3. No matter what service you get, you have to play the rate game.

Yes indeed, I just had to play it with Time Warner. My "promotion" ran out and my bill jumped like $60/month. I called them with the fioptics offer in hand and they matched for another 12 months.

I had fioptics prior to TW and I believe the internet speed is far superior with fioptics but the tv both quality and channel packages are better with TW.

  4. My buddy had a pretty funny one when we were in college. It had a cartoon picture of a house wife (50's era), in an apron standing by the kitchen sink. In the kitchen sink was an animal, specifically a beaver, that she was using a razor to remove it's hair. The bubble caption above her head said, "Men make the most unusual requests."
