  1. Here's what makes me nervous. When Ft. Campbell spreads it out, do you put Chris Kelly in the middle and move Johnson or Willett outside so that Chris can spy the QB? By all accounts, the QB is very, very good, and a very good runner. I like Willett and Johnson's motors, but I believe that Chris gives them the most speed to spy w/. NewCath's D-Line must keep their pass rush lanes. One mistep and this kid is to the second level lickity split. On the otherside, the same can be said of Kues. Ft. Campbell will have to account for him on each pass play.

Ive heard some stuff and it seems as if NewCath has a little somethin somethin for their defense for saturday's game. Trust me, it's gunna work out.

  2. I assume that NC practices at Newport Stadium on turf. Do they practice there during the regular season or does NC have their own practice facility?

During the regular season NCC practices at their own practice facility, located on the school campus (which is grass). Although they have been practicing there all year, they will now practice at Newports turf field, to get ready for the upcoming game.

  3. I understand that is an easy excuse, but upfront NCC was much better although he may have broken some tackles the game would have been the same, unless you are telling me he would have made up for 19 points? I agree Corbin is a good team just not the caliber as NCC yet and I mean no disrespect.

I agree with you. IM4thehounds, Are you saying Watkins is the only kid that can produce a score for the Redhounds? IMO I think Corbin should have passed more, they were doing a pretty good job on the pass. Other than the two interceptions, which one was given back to the hounds.

  4. The biggest difference between this year's thread and last year's is that last year we were an 80% - 20% underdog and several people picked NCC by 3+ TDs. No disrespectful comments on either side, just that NCC was a heavy favorite.

Agreed, but now that everyone knows how much of a strong competitor FC is from last year, people know its not going to be a blow out. I think this will be a great game, most probably one of the best that will be played at PJS. :thumb:

  5. I heard none of that, last night or at any Corbin game this year. I did hear a couple yelling at the ref on the no call on the pass when kelly climbed the kid's back to break up the long third down pass in the 4th quarter. Oh, I forgot about a couple of grade school kids yelling to a NCC player that he stunk, hardly intimidating though. Ncc is a tough bunch, I doubt they intimidate very easily.

Ya, Kelly did climb that kid's back. I woulda called that one for sure. Although I guess campbellfield had a better seat, he said he heard the yelling.

  6. Parr is fast, but not 4.4. I'm guessing 4.6-4.7. Ferrara is a 4.6. Collinsworth from Highlands was clocked at a 4.67ish, and I don't believe that Parr is faster than him. Overall on offense, though, NewCath has a lot of speed when you include the Kellys and Kues. Escalante is pretty fast himself.

I respectfully disagree, Ferrara is on the track team and came in like 2nd at state in the 200 and 400. He is most likely in the top fastest kids in Ky, I think Ferrara runs a little bit better than a 4.6 ..On the other hand Parr is pretty quick but I agree with you on him not being a 4.4 ..I'd have to say their fastest kids on NewCath would be Ferrara, Rawe, Parr, Grosser, Kues, and even Jake Smith when he wants to be.
