Green had 33 points and 1 first down in the first half.
Anxious to see the scoring summary.
-
34-17 Manual in 4th.

Great win Rocks.
Trinity goes on a 55-0 run to end the game.
1 down 4 to go!

34-26 X late 3rd quarter.
-
Order restored: 27-13 X.
-
35-6 Greenies.

To clarify, I have learned that Trinity has tried to schedule Colerain, Cincy St. Xavier, Bowling Green, Simon Kenton, and Highlands for next season. All said no.
Let me know the details on this RP.

Mattingly broke his toe and is out.

Am I the only one a little apprehensive about this game? PRP has already beaten Manual and took care of Central last week 41-7. They had St. X down 21-7 in the third quarter 2 weeks ago. But for a fluke ending against Butler, they would be second in their district.
I think the Rocks will win, but I believe it will be closer than the experts think.

Just watched the game. I thought Ryle's oline won the game. Great pad level and good leg drive while maintaing their blocks.
HHS looks a littler undersized up front, but the speed is still there. Ryle had little success running wide.
Towles is HHS' best runner.
The Ryle kids run hard and the qb always seemed to fall forward for an extra yard or two.
I'm surprised HHS didn't stack the box more on the last drive.

Trinity looks really good and fast.

Not too well. You can't really get a read on this game as a comparison for playing the Rocks b/c of the difference in offensive philosophy b/n Highlands and Trinity. Trinity played St. X, and as has been mentioned they have similar philosophies. They have a different style. They are still a Boone Co. team that would prefer to run the ball 80% of the time, and it will be off tackle and quick hitting runs. They will run out of about 4 different formations.
Thanks. Why was Highlands unable to stop the run? Scheme? Better athletes on Ryle?

Replay just ended on FoxOhio. Ryle imposed their will with the time of possession. They bent but did not break defensively. Very fitting that Ryle converted a 4th and
How does Ryle match up speed wise with the Rocks?
-
Wow. Kudos to Ryle and their staff.
-
What time is the game?
-
Don't forget about the all you can eat chili supper in the cafeteria prior to the game.
Trinity hangs more than half a hundred on the Knights.

Trinity is very, very young. Probably the youngest team since 1953. While they are probably the best team in the state, you never know how very young kids are going to react/play in a one and done environment. They haven't been challenged by any 6A team this year, so they may not know how to handle adversity in the playoffs in the event that occurs.
-
They still scare me. If Trinity meets them again, the Rocks better bring their "A" game. Just wondering.....are there chemistry issues with X this year? Obviously, not every year does a school's team have good uniity. This applies to all schools, not just X.
I'll send you a pm about what has gone this year at X with on and off field issues. Some stuff is not able to be posted on this board.
-
Wow. Paper looks like X was down in 4th quarter to PRP. Alan60 and Ox were right, this X team is not very good.
-
Great win Rocks! This team keeps improving, which is to be expected given their extreme youth.
-
Pepples are becoming hardened boulders and hang half a hundred on the Eagles.
-
I also want to give a huge dose of salt to Seneca for not allowing us to broadcast the game tonight.
Give it to Manual as well.

Anxious to see how the Rocks' run defense handles Warr. Trinity's offense is clicking like the 2002 team's did. Kicking game needs to improve. We shall see.
