  1. I know a vet at Grants Lick and from everything I've heard, she does a terrific job (I've not personally gone there).

I use Banfield at the Newport Petsmart and they've always been great. I've taken dogs to the Florence Animal Hospital before and they do a terrific job as well.

  2. Everybody who is calling plays in the NFL, at some point, had zero experience calling plays in the NFL. And anyone who is available that has experience, has likely been fired. I’ve got no issues hiring a first time coordinator.

I agree with what you posted. But if hiring a first time coordinator with no play calling experience, I would hope the head coach had more experience calling plays to assist. Or vice versa. Them both being relatively new to play calling is what gives me pause.

With that said, it may work out completely fine and I’ll be glad that my hesitation is unfounded.

  3. Hypothetic and it would be difficult but in the playoffs, that wouldn't end the game, would it? The other team would get the ball. There is essentially no game clock in overtime in the playoffs.

It is a 15 minute timed quarter. I know the “other team gets a chance on a FG” portion of the rule but I’m not sure how that would play out if the time expires. It could be as simple as going to the second OT period but we've never seen it before. Probably never will as a 15 minute drive would be absurd.

  4. Hopefully one day, '09 Brossart grad Andrew Kappes will get a shot to call games for his hometown Reds. I think he had been the broadcast guy for the Pirates AAA team in Indianapolis for the last few years. He would bring some young energy to the booth that might attract the younger fans to the radio rather than the TV.

I would love for Kappes to get the gig one day. Terrific person and a GREAT baseball mind.

  5. I have now cancelled my Bengals season tickets and I plan on getting Bearcats Football and Basketball Combo Tickets. Can't wait!! Huge win and season for the cats.

Remember Sept 6th UC at Ohio State!!!!

September 7th. Going to have to make sure I have tv for pre-nuptials watching.

  6. So, Pelicans power forward and former UK player, Anthony Davis will become a free agent this coming summer. The Pelicans are not gonna trade him this season according to Pelicans coach, Alvin Gentry. Davis will reportedly leave around $90 MIL on the table if it means joining a contending team. New Orleans is expected to offer Anthony Davis a 5 year, $239.5 MIL contract this off season. LeBron James and Anthony Davis met for dinner last night after the Lakers win over Davis' Pelicans. Lakers are reportedly in the drivers seat to land the former UK star.

So, when he becomes a free agent this summer, where will he land? If he does end up in a Laker uniform, does that make the Lakers a title contender?

He’s signed with the Pelicans through 2020-2021..

  7. From the Boone County Schools’ Facebook page 30 minutes ago:

There was a fourth threat directed towards Ryle High School this evening. The Boone County Sheriff’s Department has taken the individual responsible for the threat into custody. Once again, we would like to thank the Boone County Sheriff’s Department for the assistance with these threats. We will continue to work the sheriff’s department to ensure the safety of our students and staff. Ryle will operate on a normal schedule and we will have additional staff and law enforcement at Ryle tomorrow.

Once again, we want to stress the importance of parents using this opportunity to have a discussion with their students about social media and the repercussions of posts of a threatening nature. The school district and law enforcement take this matter very seriously and appropriate discipline will follow.
