  1. Ok, I was wrong it was Raceland 28 to 14 over Paris.(I looked it up)

But you are wrong also. You say your certain NCC did not call off the dogs and you could not be more wrong. It was 37 to 0 when our JV went in with 3 minutes to go in the 2nd quarter. They never went back in.

I think he is saying ncc didnt call off the dogs vs beechwood but Lca did, but i still proved his point wrong with my previous post.

  2.

Of this I am certain: neither NCC nor Beechwood "called off the dogs" in their game. LCA, on the other hand, DID call them off with over 6 minutes left.

Beechwood/ncc game is a rivalry game, so it doesnt matter who had the better team on paper, you look to much into stats. Going by your head to head games theory, Lca only beat Fairview by 2 tds, while that next week Beechwood beat them by 42 points. So according to your math Beechwood should have beat Lca by atleast 4 tds. (And obviously that didnt happen)

This game is about matchups, i think Ncc matches up with Lca and this one will be close.

  3. Hey thanks for reminding me that NCC is a catholic school

"EDUCATION!!" thats weak you can get that at any school if you apply yourself and if the building was that important you would have a/c at least in the gym to keep the kids from slipping and sliding ;) and as far as an all urban school...call it an all county school :p But by the way great traditon and how many state titles.....Even little ole Bellevue has a few more. :p

One more than Campell County high school who has better fields and is an "all county school" also.

  4. Comes as no surprise to me. I felt all along that the rainy night a few weeks ago at Newport Field hurt the Breds much more then it hurt Bellevue. Now with Yeagle and Beechwood out of the way "Big Bob" should be able to take his team to the Championship game. Congrats to the Breds on their win and also to Bellevue on a very good season.

Not sure about that, Lca looks like the real deal.

  5. I know nothing of NCC, other than the fact that they lost to Beechwood. What are the factors to look for?

Cant really base anything on the ncc vs beechwood game, because its a rival game(much like i was hearing Lca vs fairview). Ncc has a good rush D and can pass and run the ball when needed.

  6. For the past decade NCC has always had one of, if not the most talented team in all of Class A. And every year people (certainly those up on the hill) talk of how it will not even be close when they play Beechwood.

“Then what is the gurgling, hacking and gasping for air do I hear?

Oh don't worry it's just NC, chocking in the playoffs again this year.”

What amazes me most is how much better NC people are than the very people that live next door to. NCC parents and fans have never sat on the sidelines laughing and taunting Bellevue players in the last minutes of the game just to get beat on a "Hail Mary" (ironic isn't it). As for personal fouls I do recall NCC players getting thrown out of games for punching Bellevue players. But lets be honest the refs must have gotten it wrong because there is no way that the high and mighty breds would stoop to that level. Instead us breds fans with our diluted morals intact, sit behind a keyboard and attack the players of a program that has more tradition (just look at the number of state championships). Before I conclude, let me leave you with this. Before you attack the class and character of an entire team, school and community you must first look at the lack of character you may have displayed.

Good Luck to the players on both sides of the ball!

You sound like a great ncc fan, as for the fans sitting behind keyboards attacking players and actions, you are doing the same thing bringing up players getting thrown out of games from years ago. IF that aint the pot calling the kettle black.

  7. I've been really impressed with the improvement of Henderson. The kid has speed and moves. If LCA can get the ball to him, it will be a long night for the Beechwood cornerbacks. I haven't seen anyone all year cover him effectively.

I havent seen them play, is LCa more of a passing team than a running team or a little bit of both?

Can Lca stop the run well?

  8. I know Bellevue is the underdog, but like I stated above if they can pass the ball like they did against Raceland then this is a different ball game. Against Raceland Bellevue's QB was throwing the ball really really well. He was throwing deep and for short strikes that were perfect passes. I guess they were holding out until the playoffs. I really didn't understand during the game how he could come out all the sudden and throw the ball the way he did. What does all this mean? It means that NCC will not be able to stack the box. It opens up the run and makes the run that more dangerous. If NCC doesn't respect the pass then they will pay for it.

Maybe he was throwing like that because he faced an inferior defense.

  9. Beechwood could'nt stop the Quarterback Draw against Cov Cath, and I don't think they will stop Sammy Diehl either. But, it looks like Chas Moore is going to show everyone why he went to Beechwood in this game, plus the Breds have to stop Eric Sawyer. Should be some points scored in this great match-up, special teams will play a big part. New Cath 31-27

I think Moore is the x factor, i dont know if Ncc special teams can stop him or their secondary.
