I forgot about Kyle Bair. Both teams have about equal talent in sophomores. I thin.k Greenup will be starting a few of thier sophomores to
-
Any reasons of why he would leave Boyd?
-
Im jus saying in my opninon they are better because they can go deeper. Derek Stapelton is a really good infielder, definatley better definsively than any of Greenups sophomores, but he lacks on the offensive side. Otherwise Tyler back is stronger on the offensive side, but this is all I see of East's sophomores, that I know of. Greenup had 4 sophomores last year who contributed to thier 16th region championship. Rice, i believe hit 4 homeruns last year, and Reed had the hit against Boyd that turned the game around. Staten also played all year long hitting lead off for most of the season, and Greenslate who pitched all year long who pitched in 2 different games of the 16th region tournament. If East would have 2 more players like Stapelton and Back, then yes they probably would be better.

East And Greenup both have a good sophomore class, but Greenups is a little better.

So will the head coach be leaving this year?
-
From what I hear the Administration almost make it impossible for a coach to WANT TO STAY. However, I know Greg and he will not be ran over.
Your absolutely right, and its the same way with the players.

Greenup will have the best pitching staff in the region this year.

It's pretty bad if you have to pay admission to be honored for something you worked hard for! Greenup Co. has excellent athletes and the potential to be DOMINANT in the 16th Region in whatever sport, but I'm not sure the administration will ever allow that to happen because it is a circus down there. Just my opinion.
I agree. If the administration would let a coach stay and let the kids just play for the coach and quit getting new coaches all the time and the kids not wanting to play because of the coach they have chosen. Greenup has had some great coaches that the administration chooses to fire or run off for no reason. Coach Hicks was one of the best coaches in the region, and yet they run him off. If the school is going to try and make the sport go down hill, then the athletes can to by not playing and thats what is happening here. The baseball team still seems to have everything together and alot of athletisicm, so lets hope Coach Logan will be there for a while.

GC's administration is something else.

Alot of local teams going to be there. Do any end up playing each other?.

Greenup by 5 only because its at the greenhouse

I think that Scaggs is a pitcher also.
Yes, my bad I left him out. He will also help Greenup in pitching this year.
-
IMO Greenup will be better this year than last year. The only thing they lost last year was the outfield. They return players who played many innings in the outfield and will be able to play there this year. They also return 16th region MVP Tyler Hieneman,Dakota Greenslate, and Kyle Martin on the mound this year.

Greenup by 10+

I agree, Either way Mason will win this game because of thier size. But the way Elliott shoots the ball will determine wether they make it close or not. I would like to see Elliott shoot the ball good and see an upset.

Man East is having a good season!
-
Congrats to Greenup. They played good ball tonight as Middelton and Baker continued to play good. Hope they keep it up through districts. Tomcats are having trouble right now but will get things going come tournament time hopefully.
-
Elliott is #1 in the region in my opinion but not by much, as Rose Hill prooved that. I would say Rose Hill is 2nd because of their win against Elliott and their schedule they have played. Then it would be East Carter but all three teams can make a good run come regional tournament.

Ashland by 10

I will say Elliott by 25+ with Ferguson leading them with 30
-
East Carter-77
Greenup-61
-
Baker leads Greenup with 24 points

Hall is an outstanding player and will be up there with Fairviews best!
-
He is surrounded by 3 all stars on his team so this does help him alot, but that dont mean he isnt a good player himself. He is playing alot better in the pro's then he did for Kentucky. I agree that this is because of Tubby. He will be one of the best PG in the game in a couple of years!

Who all does raceland have on the mound. I thought they only returned one pitcher from last year, being Josh Wilson. Hes a good pitcher and can win alot of games this year. Also, dont forget Martin hitting. I think he is the 2nd best hitter in the region. I think the Rams will be one of the best offensive teams in the region this year.
