Yes. Couldn't agree with you more on all points. Let's just be happy for this young man that he is getting the opportunity to do something he loves. No matter what the level and I hope all players who want this opportunity get a chance to achieve it.

I'm not saying he was, but he worked his tail off to get noticed and from what I heard, he had multiple offers, even additional ones from D2. So someone saw something they liked. When he got in games for NCC, he did well. Most of the time it was not enough minutes to break a sweat. Sometimes, players just need a change to get a chance. There was no inside connection. The kid had never heard of this school before the coach contacted him.

The kid from NCC was Brian Gish. He actually attends West Virginia Wesleyan and is on their roster on their website.
