  1. With regards to your first post, I suppose I didn't read it that closely. I thought Rex had a job in Ohio. Is it okay with them that he was on the sideline at his old stomping grounds in KY as well? No conflict of interest or stipulations that he violated in Ohio? I wondered that when I saw the game in Morehead.

  2. If we are talking about RULES...and I think we are...then both committed an infraction. Are you saying that one is worse than the other? And I think I know where the break in the synapse occurred...
Yes. We are talking about rules. He got a technical foul, he's supposed to be parked. If you want to be fair because you are the champion of fair and balanced here in this thread, both should have been dinged with another technical foul for disobeying a warning. Then Humphrey is sitting, and Thacker is in the locker room listening to the crowd trying to find the radio station.
  3. lol. Totally different applications? Who said anything about applications? I simply said Humphrey was consistently out of the coaching box, which is a violation of a rule, in which the punishment is a technical foul. Was he warned? I don't know. But if he wasn't then that's an example of a rule not being enforced on the other coach.
I was simply saying you're not comparing apples to apples. It doesn't matter. You would argue that the sun isn't really a hot ball of gas. He got a T, should have been on the bench sitting. It's cut and dried. Not sure why there's a break in the synapse there.
  4. Well warranted? What did he say to warrant one? I was on the other side of the gym, so I don't know. All i know is what the man told me after the game.

As far as Humphrey being up...the point is valid if he is consistently out of the box. That's as much against the rules as being up after a technical foul.

You would be incorrect. Once a coach has received a technical, he is to be seatbelted and if he stands to coach or walk the sideline he's to receive an additional technical foul and be ejected from the contest. Being outside the box requires a warning. Totally different applications.
  5. I've heard alot of good things and alot of negative things about the program this year. I think it's clear that they will live and die with how Skaggs can get good shots. They truly have no other serious scoring options but need everyone to pitch in their share. They miss Davidson cleaning up the glass and Hunt could create his own shot and teams needs defensive help to guard him which gave Skaggs room. Like everyone else it no doubt will be a season of what could have been. I wouldn't overvalue Russell, but I think in this region they have a shot.

  6. I was going to refrain from posting this but I can't. How long will Ashland let their bonehead radio guy continue to defame the entire Ashland area with his on air junk? First, he must have said, along with his partner, that Ashland got no calls, everytime they had something going that they were whistled and that the officials simply wouldn't let them win this game. Then, with less than 4 to play, he says that Ashland has only 4 penalties for the game! Just a moron. He whined that Belfry's HOF coach somehow had a hand in every decision and-or flag that was thrown. Griped twice that Ashland players were horse-collared as they headed for the sideline but no call. Please, learn the rules before opening your mouth to insert your foot. And to be quite honest, I don't understand how Ashland fans aren't embarassed by his antics. There's no patting the opponent on the back when they just whipped your butt. Always excuses.

Here, you want a solution to all of Ashand's woes last night? Get a placekicker.

  7. I saw this on another site and I thought it was interesting.

*sigh*...there you go again commenting about Fairview's schedule...maybe this will help enlighten you...

    Here are the facts:

    * Fairview is 16-2 in their last 18 games including a 27 point win over Raceland. Raceland is 9-9.

    * Raceland doesn't get any playoff points or certificates of achievement for losing to Ashland by 37 last season, losing to Greenup by 26 last season, losing to Ashland again by 46 this year, and losing to Sciotoville Community by 22.

    * Raceland's schedule that supposedly prepares them for the postseason did not work last year when they lost to LCA by 40 points in the 2nd round of the playoffs. Even with Fairview's supposedly weak schedule, they still went to LCA and only lost by 11 in the 3rd round of the playoffs.

    * Since strength of schedule is so important to Ram fans, the remainder of Fairview's schedule is stronger than Raceland's schedule. They play the same 2 district foes, but Fairview closes the season with the 8th ranked team in 3A, undefeated Powell County, while Raceland closes the season with Russell, the 14th ranked team in 3A.

    * Fairview is currently the 4th ranked team in class A, getting 1 first place vote in the latest AP poll.
