  1. I would think that most of Conner's closest followers would say that pitching depth is not their strength. That's why they had to throw Shuttlesworth 5 innings against Ryle and come back with him against Boone 3 nights later. No offense to Shuttlesworth at all - and he's done an especially nice job as of late, but of the "big" 3 in the 33rd (Conner, Boone, and Ryle) this year, I would rank him as the weakest "ace." Conner's strength is most definitely their hitting, which is unquestionably the best in this district.

I agree not their greatest strength but the pitching staff of Conner has been getting the job done as of late. I don't consider him the weakest ace in the district I believe he is better than whoever Boone considers their ace this week... and even if he is the weakest ace he shut down the Raiders and the Rebels. giving up only 1 earned run combined against both teams.

  2. Check out one of their games and you will see that not only can they glove, and have good arms, I would say without a doubt that they are the quickest outfield that I have ever seen in NKY or Cincy and I have seen some of the best in Cinti over the last 35 years. They hit well but maybe a little behind Cov Cath although Studer does have 4 hrs.

Their good... but man they are not that good

  3. Ryle has the advantage through the Districts IF they win the first game, which I think they will having already seen Holahan.

Conner will be short on pitching after the St. Henry game while Ryle will have Seabald, Renda, Lovan, Donavan and O'Hara ready.

Ryle takes the same road as last year and beats Boone, then Conner to win the District.

Conner short on pitching? IMO one of the hottest teams in NKY (Conner) wont have to throw anyone powerful against St. Henry (one of worst in NKY) and they will be able to throw their top 2 guys against Ryle and Ryle wont come close to competeing with Conner in ways of hitting..... Conner already smacked Lovan and O'Hara around and Sebald has beeen struggling of late.

  4. Conner will beat either St. Henry or Heritage.... Ryle will have to throw Etschied against Boone (they win) and I don't think Ryle will be able to beat Conner without Etschied on the hill. IMO I believe Conner is the favorite, but that being said it's tournament time anything goes and on any given day any team can be beaten.

  5. I was pitching a game in the summer time and one of my teammates hit a ball to centerfield he took a big turn, with the catcher coming up behind him the centerfielder threw the ball to first and the catcher (with all his equipment on) dove on my teammate and kneeed him in the head and tagged him HARD. My teammate told me to throw at him the next inning and my coach said it was up to me. I decided to hit him and when i came back to the dugout after that half inning my coach (old school player) told me he was proud that I stuck up for my team.

  6. Gill,Pugh,Brake all go long for Conner. Will Shuttleworth pitched 5 innings of 1 run baseball. Ryle made it interesting scoring 3 runs in the 6th off Josh Atonavich but Hoskins came in and closed out the remaining 1 and 1/3 innings.
