So because Reese has more YPC he's more deserving? I believe he is an outstanding athlete as well. Hayes doesn't really play defense that I know. I can't penalize Hayes because he got open more (while receiving double coverage from some great defenses). Bottom line is 144 yards a game > 120 yards a game and 19 TD's are > than 13.
I can't buy the if he got more time either. Both play on good teams and run into that. Here's the facts: Boyle's starting QB has completed 100 passes for 1823 yards, while McCracken's starting QB has completed 101 passes for 1835. That's about as close as you can get. When the starting QB is in, the starting WR is in. So the "if he only had more catches and chances he would have this or that" argument holds no water. You can't penalize Hayes for getting open more and getting almost 200 more yards to date and 6 more TD's. The QB's have completed basically the same number of passes and the same number of yards.
I looked at the toughest games each had:
Reese
Highlands 3 catches for 59 yards and 0 TD's
CAL 6 catches for 194 and 3 TD's
LexCath 8 for 275 and 3 TD's
Hayes
Bowling Green 8 for 176 and 2 TD's (they were also without their star RB Bradley)
Paducah Tilghman 4 for 40 and 3 TD's
Mayfield 11 for 272 and 3 TD's
The 2 best defenses are Bowling Green and Highlands on this list. That's telling for me.
What you’re forgetting is that Reese Smith had 2 interceptions against Highlands and several pass deflections. Boyle County is more than Reese Smith. While Reese is extremely impactful, there are several playmakers that play for the Rebels and him being on the field opens up more opportunities for other players. Which in my opinion it did in that game. Boyle County also won 30-0 against Highlands while McCracken lost 14-42 to Bowling Green.
I’m not sure if you have seen Reese Smith play but you might want to check him out. I personally would like to see Hayes play but I doubt I’ll get the opportunity. Anyways, good luck to your team the rest of the season.

I've read up on the the Old Owl Taveran and the Kentucky Fudge. Probably either of those 2 are in the running. The Stadium looks sharp. Thanks for responses.
You can't go wrong with either one of those choices. Granny's Restaurant is always good if you like country cooking. Olde Bus Station is pretty good as well.

I'm going to have to pick against the Titans this week. I do think Mercer County keeps it within two touchdowns. I hope Coach B and his guys pull it off, though. Good luck Titans!
-
Absolutely. His play on touchdown is a strong key ingredient to a title run.
I just realized that I said touchdown. His play on defense is what it is suppose to read.

I see saying Cov. Cath. without a doubt but how can you say Scott Co. especially offensively and not mention Frederick Douglass. The Douglass defense totally dominated Scott Co. they had just over 200 yards total offense and about 60 of those was on a trick play. Just curious.
This was my thinking. Covington Catholic? Sure. Scott County? Absolutely not.

He's really good but I'd pick Reese Smith 1st for my team.

I said behind Male and Trinity all season. Male beat Trinity. Then Male struggled against Fern Creek. Now I know Fern Creek is a solid team but I expected more. Boyle County would give these teams a run for their money but I would still put them behind Male and Trinity for now.

Wow! Surprised by this score.

Good to hear Bartleson is back!
Absolutely. His play on touchdown is a strong key ingredient to a title run.

Final score. Boyle County 52/Anderson County 7.
-
Final from Lawrenceburg!
-
Boyle County has imposed their will on the Bearcats. Other than a 70 yard run for a TD Anderson County really hasn't been able to do anything.
-
End of the 3rd quarter.
-
Would have been a touchdown but block in the back on the Rebels. Got to get rid of the penalties.
-
Lanter rolling out and the pass is deflected. 4th and 10 for the Rebels. Not a good possession for the Rebels. But the Rebels are going for it.
-
Lanter with the incomplete pass. 3rd and 10 Boyle County.
-
Sacco with a no gain. 2nd and 10.
-
Boyle County takes over at the Anderson County 43 yard line after an Anderson County is forced to catch the punt.
-
4th down for Anderson County. Punt team is out.
-
3rd and 10 for Anderson County after Hardwick blows up the play.
-
Ezarious Roller with a tackle for loss.
-
Boyle County would have had Anderson at a 4th and 18 but roughed the passer.
