  1. If you would have been at the game, you would have seen a huge difference from last year to this year. What I am saying about your comments about Bracken, is just that. It seems you have a very strong opinion on what is going on with the program, but you have to ask after every scrimmage/game what the score was or what happened. Stop asking people that you don't even know, about the games, and go to one yourself. Then, you will be able to make an informed decision about the Bracken Sports programs. As far as improvements. Bracken moved the ball very well. 4 turnovers killed Bracken. Fumbling the ball at the end of long drives made the score alot more lopsided than it should have been. I am sure the coaches will be working on it for this coming week.
  2. The team they play next week is Middletown Christian. Do you actually go to games and see how hard the kids play, or do you just enjoy getting on the board and tearing every Bracken County Sport apart? By the way congratulations Berea on a good win. I think even the Berea fans will tell you that Bracken is a much improved team this year. Turnovers made the score more lopsided than the game was.
  3. Bracken County 1st team scored 4 TD's Brossart 0. Bracken 2nd Team 2 TD's Brossart 1
  4. Breeze made a mistake on one play allowing a touchdown in the corner of the endzone. Not a typical night for Breeze. The other 2 were on a young sophmore that was actually getting his first real look at corner. He actually wasn't burnt that bad on the 2 just not experienced enough to make a play on the ball. I am sure the coaches will continue working with him to improve is coverage skills.
  5. To keep everyone from being misinformed, the 7 & 8 grade team is 4-4 this year. I think if stats and records are going to be posted they should be correct.
  6. Several of Bracken's players do play other sports including track, tennis and baseball. Several have quit playing basketball for various reasons. Yes All-IN this isn't a new program according to years, however it is a new program when you look at issues like facilities, weight program, conditioning program, #'s, and age of players. This past off season was really the first organized weight program. Prior to this year the weight equipment was basically non existant. Before Coach Faust and the new coaching staff, who have only been here for 1 year, there would be a total of about 12 guys on the entire team Fresh thru Senior, now there are between 35-40. This is actually only the second year of bringing back a real middle school program. Which both the 5&6, and 7&8 grade teams have about 35-40 players each, and are developing a culture of winning. And to make you happy All-In, if you look at there players, and then look at the basketball court, they have almost all the starting middle school basketball players playing football.
  7. Not making excuses for Bracken County, but here is a little insight into this game. Starting QB/ Strong Safety - out injury, Starting FB/Middle LB -out injury, Starting Long Snapper/DE - out injury, Other Starting DE - not at game, Starting TB, Corner, Punter- only played part of 1st quarter do to injury, Starting Center - injured during 1st quarter, Starting Tackle- did not travel do to family reasons, back up QB, starting safety- taken to hospital for potential head injury during halftime. No these aren't excuses they are facts. As far as playing JV these were freshman and a few sophmores and Juniors playing by the middle of the first quarter. Frankfort was by no means trying to run up the score. As a coach you can not tell a kid who is getting their first chance to play under the lights not to score. Frankfort was a class act and wish them luck this season.
