I would love to see the Jags pull this one off, and if they can cut down the turnovers, dropped passes, etc. they may just keep it close. Corbin by 10

So, now that Perry Co. Central has have defeated Clay, I am guessing that NL has absolutely no hope of a playoff game. (I must say I truly question the officiating in this game.) It is virtually impossible, right? PCC now has 2 district wins, NL has 0. With PCC being the only district game the Jags have left on their schedule they are out. What is up with PCC anyway, they get beat @ Hazard and @ LCC, both rather handily, then play host to Whitley & Clay and come away with 2 HUGE district wins?

LCC for the simple fact they are tough and they just don't quit. Whether it be the Coach firing them up at half time, or making the necessary adjustments, they get the job done. LCC 28 WC 17 -
AMEN!!! Preach it brother!!!!! Couldn't agree more. There is way too much petting and too many double standards on this team, and if you don't want to take my word for it, talk to the NL seniors, they will tell you without hesitation. The O line IMO has its flaws, but has many more positives than negatives.

Turnovers, dropped passes, missed tackles, etc. just keep hurting the Jags. But the Maroons running/passing attack is packed to the brim, it's easy to see why they are undefeated. Good luck the rest of the season. It was great to see Cam Cornett standing on the sidelines for a while tonight, thankful to see he is healing up and on the way to complete recovery.

They have Pulaski 9/28, @ Corbin 10/12, Perry Central 10/19, Clark County (senior night) 10/26, @ Leslie Co. 11/02.

They are usually a pretty good first half team, but costly turnovers keep the defense on the field way too long during the coarse of the game and towards the end of the 4th qtr., they are just spent. They should be in excellent shape as conditioning seems to be a priority on the coach's list. After talking to some of the players I think there is a lack of communication offensively with the players, but I don't know.

What do you as fans of the Jaguars, and football fans in general think the Jaguars need to do to turn this season around? Their offense has spurts of greatness, but they just can't seem to keep things going. The defense which looked pretty tough the first few weeks has also seemed to start to fade away? Any thoughts, suggestions, etc. I just hate it for this group of young men, they work so hard and come so close, but it seems that the first win is always just out of reach. Now at 0-5 I'm afraid they have lost confidence in themselves.

IMO they have all been very disappointing. -
At this point, I would have to say that Pulaski picks the score in this one and wins big. North, going back to last season has lost their last 10 games, and they have lost any confidence they had. Pulaski 42 NL 7

Tough loss for the Jags. Sounded like they had this one until the 2nd half, anybody know what happened? Was switching back and forth between games and the next thing I knew, LCC had took the lead. Congrats to the Cougars. -
Congrats to the Maroons, tough loss for the Cards. Coach Hines has definitely got his Maroons playing some football.

Who's the hardest hitter on your team?

For North Laurel I would have to say Shawn Nelson, Steven White, Ryan Brandenburg, and Josh Miller -
"The other kid" as you call him, until Wardrup was injured Friday night has not taken a snap with the varsity Offense since another Wardrup "injury" for a few series early last season. The kid actually has a great arm and extremely good accuracy if you actually follow NL football you would know this, and he'd probably rather eat the ball than throw it down the field, up for grabs than to avoid the sack. But from what I hear he told Abbott months ago he wasn't interested in playing QB, heard he wanted to go out for receiver or something like that. I've been hounded by you guys on here for downing players, but I guess that only counts if it's me doing the hounding and not you. North was outplayed, out coached, and all together beat by a better team Friday night, I do agree with that.

Letcher Central v North Laurel Predictions

Well after the way LC went into the den and tamed the Tigers of Clay, I'll have to say NL has a lot of work to do. Hopefully, Cameron Cornett is back this week for NL and that's a big plus offensively. However, if the Jag offense cannot get something going I'm not sure if Cornett's return will be as big a help as some people have predicted. It's not just dropped passes that are hurting the Jags offensively, there are other factors that need worked on. Though I think it will be a tough game I have to stick with the Jags for the simple reason they NEED the Win, and these kids want it bad, they have really worked hard and feel they have one coming. Also hope to see the Jaguar Defense of the first few games make a re-appearance this week at Letcher. NL 17 LC 14
