Stuart Jackson hit a free throw before Hill made two foul shots to make it 59-58 with 56.4 seconds to go. Johnson sank 3 of 4 free throws for a 62-58 edge at 0:20 Blade’s 3-pointer pulled Eastern within 62-61 at 0:12.9, but Chandler calmly sank two free throws at 0:08.5. With Trinity, Ballard and Manual on the other side of the bracket, it looked as though a spot in the semis was theirs to lose, despite their loss to X earlier this year.
