In the nitecap, the Harrison County Thorobreds and the homestanding Bishop Brossart Mustangs hooked up with the visitors racing out to a 13-4 first quarter advantage. The Mustangs battled back, outscoring the Breds 18-13 in the second period, cutting the Thorobreds' lead to 26-22 at the half. Brandon Case had the hot hand for the Beeds in the opening period, scoring 8 of his team's 13 points. In the second period, Brossart's Jonathan Zink and Blake Saunders combined for 13 of the Mustangs' 18, with Zink putting up 8 and Saunders contirbuting 5.

In the second half the Mustangs tied the game at 29-29 with 4:30 to play in the third quarter, but a pair of consecutive Trent Thompson field-goals spearheaded an 11-4 Harrison County rally, putting the Breds on top 40-33 after three periods of play. In the final stanza, Harrison County would continue to draw off, leading by 51-39 with 2:33 to play in the game, before the Mustangs sensed the urgency and rallied to cut the lead to 53-48 at the 1:01 mark, but that was as close as the home team would come in this one, as the Thorobreds move on to the finals with a 56-50 win while improving to 16-4 on the season. Brossart closes the book on the 2011-12 season at 16-11. Harrison's Trent Thompson led all scorers with 19 points, while Darrin Hicks added 16, with 11 of those coming in the fourth quarter. Jonathan Zink finished the night with 18 points for the Mustangs and Brady Sansom put up 11 in the losing effort.
