February 5, 201214 yr Thank God I don't have a substance issue (not that it couldn't have happened) but I do understand the cycle of addiction when it comes to food. Food hangovers, starting anew just to screw up again and again. Not finished eating 'til food is gone, lying to myself at the grocery store how I'll only eat a few chips if I buy this bag and then finish it off in one sitting. I won't eat the whole giant chocolate bar.... yeah right!, sodium heartburn from eating twice as much pizza than necessary. It's a wonder that I'm not as big as a house or it's perhaps the losing of weight from having forced diabetes on myself. I'm not crying to anyone, for this is my own problem, but the cycle is hard to get a handle on. At least I'm not as bad as I used to be but I've rarely ever completely licked the problem, but I've licked the bowl many times. Problem with food is you can't stop eating like drinkers might stop drinking. Still have to eat to live. Just gotta stop living to eat.
