4chs Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 Aaron Grubb led Barbourville to the win with 30 points and hit four consecutive three-pointers in the second quarter to put the Tigers in control. Good scored 22, Cox 14, Vanover 11 and Crawford added 9 for B'ville. Curry scored 25 for Poinciana. Barbourville will play Bell Co., who defeated Perry Central 65-51, in the second round.
LC99 Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 B-ville pretty much controled the game, they had a little trouble at times with the press of Poinciana. It looked like after the 3rd quarter B-ville was going to blow it open, but Poinciana didn't quit. I didn't understand why Poinciana didn't shot 3 pointers towards the end of the game. Outside of #3 they didn't have much of an outside game.
dogman Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 Big win for Barbourville and Bell County. This will be a great Semi-Final game.
WILDMAN Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 I thought that Grubb and Crawford quit for Barbourville. At least that is what one said last week. Oh well, it is good to see them still playing. Good luck to the Tigers this week unless they play the Hounds.
kc3pointer Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 Solid all around game for Barbourville. It seemed to me that Poinciana was just a better all around team but bville was the one who showed up to play. Grubb was on fire from 3, I think 4 for 4. Cox had to be close to a triple double and Crawford close to a double double. The Bell County game should be a good one.

Whatever happened must have lit a fire in Grubb, 30pts. in the CFIT. Both Grubb and Crawfrod are really good kids and I'm sure Coach Phipps can be hard to play for at times but hopefully for all concerned this continues to work itself out.
