I'm still waiting on your citations to support the "failure" part. I attempted to surmise which ones you might be talking about yet you blew that answer off.

 

I'm still trying to decide what the point of the thread was. You cited an article and yet never really addressed why the loss to China was a "failure."

I didn't say it wasn't worth recovering. I'm not in that business. However, those that ARE in the business apparently think the 86B that ARE AVAILABLE is NOT worth recovering. Contact them if you think they should be attacking the 86B.

You've thrown a few things out here so let's break them down.

 

Off-shore drilling ban: Let's assume the bans were lifted tomorrow. How soon do you think we would see any oil from them?

I think you two are looking at it wrong. In my opinion the price of oil is set by the commodities market and supply and demand doesn't affect the price the way it used to. If the great one wanted to get the price down, get oil off of wall street. Obama or anyone else in Washington could care less about the price of oil for us poor consumers.
