Garrard County 55 Danville 53

Featured Replies

Garrard County picked up a nice district win in this one. Sophomore Clayton Ray hit two free throws with six seconds remaining that set the final margin. Danville's Rob Caudill missed a three at the buzzer. Garrard was led by sophomore Austin Sebastian with 19 points. Lions move to 2-1 in district play, good for second place.

Nice win GCHS!!! Puts you guys in a solid second place. Congrats.

Did Tryston Ford play for Danville? I know he was hurting and trying to get healthy enough to play on Wednesday.

Yes, Ford played and played well. He's improved tremendously from last season. Alcorn was in foul trouble for much of the night, which hurt Danville. And Alex Burnside (who I had never heard of) played really well on both ends. Burnside fouled out mid-4th quarter and the Admirals defense wasn't as strong after that.

Yeah, Burnside has been getting more and more playing time recently. I think he is a sophomore.

Tryston has always been that good he just had to play with Jacody so he wasn't needed to score and perform like he is capable of. He killed us in the district tourney last year. He may end up at Georgetown playing football and basketball next year.
