Yes it was. This is his highest so far this year. Eariler he had socred 30 against Manual.

He's the best score that I've seen this year, at least against the Eagles. He hit from just about every spot in the half court and may have even made a half court shot if he shot one... They will be tough to beat!!!

Prep Basketball: Clark keeps soaring, wins 13th straight game

 

George Rogers Clark has found a comfort zone away from home.

The red-hot Cardinals captured their 13th straight victory and their 12th win in 14 attempts on the road this season with a 73-60 victory at Covington¿Scott High¿School Saturday night.

 

Clark (15-2) got a big outing from senior point guard Bopper Stenzel, who led all scorers with 39 points. Stenzel knocked down a trio of 3-pointers and did most of his scoring in transition against the Eagles, who struggled to keep pace with Stenzel during the duration of the game.

 

Clark coach Scott Humphrey also praised Stenzel’s performance and was the school’s highest individual point total since Preston Knowles eclipsed the 30-point mark nearly five years ago.

 

Adam Fatkin followed Stenzel with 16 points as the Cardinals outscored the Eagles 21-9 in the second quarter and built a 40-20 lead at the break.

 

Clark plays three games at home this week, starting with Tuesday’s contest against Harrison County, followed by Friday’s game against Montgomery County, which dealt the Cardinals a 58-56 loss on Dec. 9 in Mount Sterling. Clark then plays host to Meade County in the Central Bank Classic Saturday at Norton Gymnasium.
