C/J LIT Rankings

Litkenhous Ratings - Girls Basketball | The Courier-Journal | courier-journal.com

Seems like South Oldham is getting a lot of love. No disrespect, but there is no way they should be ranked #7. IMO, I think Walton should be ahead of them but not #7. Also think that Boone County is a little low. However, we all know that these rankings really mean nothing. Just gives us something to talk about.

I agree, thought South was sort of high with 3 losses. Not sure why Boone is not higher because the one loss is from an Ohio team. Only KY teams are calculated in the LIT, so they should have no losses as far as the LIT is concerned. Thought South would be 11 or 12, but I won't complain, like you said it doesn't really mean anything.

I don't know what methods some of these ratings systems use but they might try getting out and actually seeing games actually played. Some of their placings would indicate they don't do that.

But, as has been stated, they are simply conversation starters with no other significance.

Boone County 8

Notre Dame 9

Ryle 12

Walton Verona 14

Newport Catholic 20

Nice to see five teams from NKY in the top 20 and four from the 9th Region. The way Conner has played recently maybe they should be in there too.
