Clark County 74, Manual 64: Clark County graduated most of the big contributors off last year's Sweet Sixteen team, but the retooled Cardinals still look like they could be region contenders again.

Great win and well played game by the Cards. IMO the best they played thus far beating a good Manual team. Bopper Stenzel had a super game scoring 30 points and pulling down 6 rebounds. Adam Fadkin played great scoring 22 points and getting 8 rebounds. The big difference was in Charlie Rogers who played great scoring 17 points and getting 14 rebounds. They all played well against a tough full court defense and handled the press quite well. Vancleve played a great defensive game as did the team. The big difference was the Cards shot a good %age from the field and hit their free throws hitting 32 out of 39 attempts.

Great upset win by the Cards. Kept telling people they would be better than most thought. The press by Manual in this game will probaly be the strongest GRC will face this year. They handled it fine. Bopper does a great job and dosn't get rattled. Great win for the Cards!!!!

I'd say the top 3 in the region are 1.Montgomery 2.Clark 3 Brossart. with Pendleton, Scott, Harrison, Campbell, Mason all lodged together in the next tier.

Scott has always been the team that I think is dangerous, well coached and kids play so hard. GRC only loosing to Montgomery Co by 2 with .8 of a second to go @ Montgomery Co was a statement that the Cards are a top team this year. IMO. 10th wide open this year. Going to enjoy the ride.
