This was touched on in another thread, Campbell County / Tates Creek. I thought the gesture by the Camels, and the Tates Creek Commodores was remarkable, and worth a thread of it's own. Here are some posts from that thread that set the stage.

Definitely, KUDOS to all. For those of you that don't know, and I will mess up the facts I'm sure. The Honorary Team Captain for the Campbell County, Tates Creek game. Seven years old I believe, received severe head injuries when a limb blew out of a tree and fell on him while he was riding his bike at his house. The Camels put plywood down on the 50 yard line out onto the field so the young man could be wheeled out onto the field for the coin flip. He received the game coin and a plaque. This old football fan was brought to tears. Prayers for this young man and his family.

His name is Casen Shrock and I thought this was a very classy move as well.

For those who do not know the whole story here it is: http://www.wlwt.com/r/28676400/detail.html and here: http://cincinnati.com/blogs/campbell...lexandria-boy/

My cousin's daughter is close to his age and went to karate school with him. It is really nice that Casen was honored this way by everyone involved at the football game. Casen and his family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

The car wash on 27 in Alexandria is giving $3 of every $12 supreme car wash to the Shrock family. A very nice gesture. This family is in my family's prayers.

The Shrocks are a great family. What happened to Casen is very sad and I hope he fully recovers someday.
