Ball-line forces to the baseline where Pack-line forces to the middle. Same off-the-ball concept just different on-the-ball pressure.

In short, the "pack-line" is an imaginary line 2ft inside the 3-point line. It follows the arc of the 3-point line. If your man does not have the ball, you are inside the "pack-line", no matter what. On the ball pressure is is intense and is extended all the way to the coaches box. In the post, you play 3/4 defense. Don't let them catch the entry pass but also don't completely front the post. You're forcing the ball to the middle of the floor where your "help" is. Essentially, they are "packed" under the "line". There are "close out" techniques and "gap" defensive responsibilities as well. Not too different than any other defense, just a few wrinkles.
