Very entertaining game (and a long one, too) in Maysville tonight. Royals played much better than in recent weeks; won the yardage and turnover battles but not the important one. Up 16-6 and 22-14 but the Panthers never gave up; got a late score and a 2-point conversion to tie it with a minute and change left. Mason kicked a FG in OT, then Fleming scored on their first play in OT.

Mason County finishes 2-8 and out of the playoffs for the first time in 7 years. Topsy-turvy district - Lewis County runs the district table; Russell, Fleming and West Carter are the other representatives.

Never would have thougth that Mason Co would be 2-8 on the season and miss the playoff this year. Congrats to Fleming on the win.

Papa. Saw where MC was winless this year at home. When was the last time this happened?

Fleming Co off to a slow start on the season at 1-5, but has wins over East Carter, West Carter and Mason Co to earn a spot in the playoffs.

Great comeback win for Fleming County!
