final

Russellville did great job of keeping the ball away from Cards in the first half and even converted 3, 4th down fake punts in the first half but had 4 turnovers to Mayfield's 1 as Mayfield took a 21 - Love score to the locker room. Right out of the gate in the 3rd quarter Mayfield came out like gangbusters and held a 42-0 lead after 3 and then let the subs play the rest of the way. Russellville has a sophmore qb that is going to be a heck of a qb. He was hurt in the 3rd quarter and left by ambulance. I am unsure of his injury but the paramedics put him on the board to move him. It happend after a big collision with Mayfield's Jonathan Jackson. I hope he is okay. Russellville certainly will hit, has great speed at the skill positions and will be a handful plus some in a year or 2 as they are very young.
